Found this little gem and had it shipped here this week. It hadn’t been registered in 15 years. So a bath, cables, fuel lines, carb clean, battery, impeller, plugs and some fresh gas! Just in time for Christmas.

Wow I’d love one of those and the price was right on that one.

What’s the length on these? 14’?
If it's what it appears to be (Mini Schiada) they came in 10' and 12' with the 12 being harder to find, lower production.

Love those little toys!

Well for Arrowhead the minimum length is 12’ so that’s my goal. Guess I’m really looking for that gold nugget some where, some day.

That price he threw out isn’t anywhere close to what this cost me. Lol Multiple times that number. Thats a running joke between us, he has something I want and usually throw out a dumb price in our group text to him for it.

This is a 10. There’s only a handful of 12’s ever, first one was built in 93. There were probably a couple hundred 10’s built in the mid 80’s. Most were laid up at Lavey Craft and shipped out for rental companies. After that time period, you are hard pressed to find a Schiada built one that was made for customer usually to match their bigger boats. There’s probably only a handful of those 10’s that aren’t 84/85/86/87. This is a 91, I’ve owned 7 minis, only two were built like this one. One was Teague’s, that I sold to Todd Haig, and this one. My neighbor has a mid 90’s one as well that’s red. So the later 10’s and 12’s are super rare, they only made a few of them, and with Lee and Stan getting closer to retirement, there probably will never be another new one. 🤷🏼‍♂️

So to answer DWC, after all the ones I’ve owned and redone the bottoms and floors because they are paper thin, this is probably going to be the last one I chase down. I don’t really want to sell it at this time, but I don’t ever get too attached to anything except the Hooters Schiada which I don’t see myself ever selling. 🤷🏼‍♂️

Ok now you need to post a pic of this Hooters Schiada.

Hooters is a 1978, that was used as a trainer back and fourth to Catalina. I doubt there’s another ski race boat with more hours on it and more trips Catalina. I’ve restored it a couple of times, put 3 interiors in it. 4 motors. I know 5 previous owners of her. She just has a lot of history and sentimental value. I didn’t name it, it’s had that name forever.

Looks like a solid ride! I guess the tandem axle Schiadas are the ones that get used and enjoyed.

Sweet little boat, I remember a Schiada at river shore that looked just like it.

Learned to ski on a similar boat. Rigg family out of Blythe. They had a place on the river. They had the OB version and big power VDrive. Fun times.

So cool, and it appears to be in incredibly good shape.

The graphics and colors are perfect, and, well early 90's period correct. Even better is they don't look like crap, like a lot of 90's era boats did. Somehow the graphic design holds up and brings back fond memories of that era, as opposed to a little bile.

Great find, congrats.

I want to see the triple axle trailer before I asign it a value. I see you got it wet here also, might as well take 20% off that number.

let me know when youre ready to sell😁
