Time to change boats again.

This boat is as clean as they come.

See pictures and call for any details (I'm a slow typer so I will spare the boring details that no one wants to read)

Price SOLD

All Pictures were taken today, the boat is a little dusty since we haven't been able to use it all summer due to health problems.

didn't mean to rain on his parade - just pointing out something that is REAL dangerous. That is a lot of potential there for an explosion.

It is a beutiful boat.

I am looking for a 26,28 or 30.

Those are billet battery boxes/covers that have been around for years and are on most all high end boats. Never heard of one exploding yet.

The battery boxes won't explode - the batteries will if you dead short them. Also with that much current you could vaporize whatever shorts the battery out.

Most comercial electricians don't die from electric shock, they get cooked to death from the explosion. did you know that an arc is hotter than the surface of the SUN.

I agree, the terminals need to be covered. Pretty cheap fix. Otherwise the boat looks like a winner. I'm sure the new owner could have them taken care of at Eliminator on the next service.

I also would suggest shrink tubing on the terminal ends or rerouting the wires to keep the terminals away from the Aluminum battery cover.
If someone steps on those wires at the battery posts they could push the wire down enough to make them contact the cover. Some of those wires are almost touching now from the pictures.

Couple of things.. Most battery boxes I have seen Tinkerer are annodized, or at least clear anno'd.. In which case they are non conductive (annodized) and that kind solves the situation you are talking about.

If they are polished, then it is what it is.. But that brings is into 2 more things.
1. 100's of boats are rigged this way. Damn near every battery box on the market except the ones myself and Pat designed back in the day are setup this way. It is beyond me.. But nobody seems to have issues.

2. This isn't the place to debate or talk about it. This is the classifieds.. If you want to talk about battery safety, start a thread in tech, or in the lounge and repost the pics, but don't link them back to the classified.

It's hard enough to sell shit in this day in age without people debating the value, saying this is unsafe, I don't like the colors or a 100 other things that people that would never buy the boat to begin with say.

O.K., seems easy enough to shrink wrap the ends or install the rubber covers.
Buy the boat and we will be happy to include brand new rubber covers (Problem solved :grumble:).

Meanwhile I really need to sell this boat fast. I know we are near the end of the season (Unless you live in Havasu), if it's not priced right make me an offer. You never know, you just might get lucky:thumbsup

I have the same boat with same motor and this is a great set up for some looking for their first tunnel boat. Hard to find a Daytona sometimes with stock power and very clean to boot!:thumbsup

I have no problem keeping up with my buddies 28 magic with a 525, just for comparisons sake.

Great boat for someone!:thumbsup

No no how a 25 daytona with a 454 stock mpi set up will get anywhere
close to 85. That is a very clean deal for someone A little high on price

Never said it did 85 and it won't do 85 with a 454. I was just making a simple point that the motor has enough to make it fun, but at least Reaper got his point across.

Boat runs low 70's. Fast enough to get where you are going in decent time.
Very dependable, smooth riding boat.
Make offer, it's taking up space in our garage and we are not using it.

Surely someone knows someone looking for a clean reliable daytona.

Still Available.
I have no problem storing it for the winter, but I'd rather sell it. Make me an offer (I might not be as flexible next spring when boating season starts back up:D)

You know she will never let you do it! Did she let you take a peek at your balls in her purse again?

Michael, your words are so acidic, hurtful and cut to my inner core. Sometimes I don't even know who you are anymore with these outlandishly negative comments on a public forum.

As far as the Daytona goes, I STILL WANT IT!!!

Gunner has a stupid clean 22? Ultra jet w a 502. I know he cleans it more than he uses it!

I would make sure a mechanic checks it out might look pretty on the outside and be a mess under the hood with a busted tranny....

Last person i would do business with on the board is that guy.
