Reports indicate vehicle into oncoming lanes near Sheriffs office, vehicle caught fire, possible entrapment, 2 died at scene, major injuries to a 10-14 and 5-6 yr old and male in 30s, all transported, possible 4th person transported. Very sad deal.

The accident took place at about 4 p.m., when one of the involved vehicles drove into oncoming traffic between North Palo Verde Boulevard and Lake Drive. According to police, two were pronounced dead at the scene. Initial reports indicated that several other passengers in the two-vehicle accident were transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center for emergency medical treatment.

Dang

Why do I immediately think somebody wasn't paying attention?

Total speculation but that Rover looks like he is on the wrong side of the road and punted the other car off to his right as they hit head on...

Peace be with them all.

My G-D, I just don't have the words. I suspect with these accidents, we might begin to see K-rails on the 95?

Prayers

My wife worked at the fatal a few months ago, same exact place, I wonder if the bumpy bridge has something to do with it, people are not paying attention and it upsets the car and they over correct or something.

This crosses my mind all the time. I travel constantly between Kingman and Havasu/Bullhead and I40 is brutal between Beale st and Stockton Hiill rd exits. Especially the off ramp to Stockton Hill. The potholes are deep enough the pull the steering wheel out of your hand. I know where they are and still get surprised by them. Too sad about the Havasu accident. :(

My first thought would be stroke or heart attack.

Makes you question the substantial median work recently done on Havasu Blvd and the only median on 95 in this area is a couple of painted lines.

Damn that’s ugly. There’s no glass left in the Rover. I can’t even tell what the other car with the tarp over it is.

Heard it was bad from some people that were there shortly after. RIP.

One of the reasons I always take my 2500hd on long trips. Just feel I might have a better chance. Prayers to all involved just a sad deal all around.

someone that was behind the armada said they sideswiped the car in the lane next to them and then accelerated hard in to oncoming traffic...all suddenly. Almost sounds like maybe a medical event when you hear that.

The one that may have been at fault had no fatalities...not that any death is good or better...just some suck more.

Add to the scenario that people like to drive with their wrist draped over the wheel instead of actually having a hand on it. I see people driving on mountain roads with very tight turns with a wrist limp draped over the wheel. Each turn turns into about 12 turns. Scary to see jerk jerk jerk jerk thru the turn. Just trying to crash. Not saying this is the case with this accident. Sad deal. Prayers to the families.

Long ways to a trauma center for the critical survivors. By the time first responders get on scene, order the helicopters, response time for helicopters, and then flight time to trauma center. Sad

I was driving home from Mammoth last Saturday on 395 and came upon a head on collision prior to LEO or emergency crews arriving. A van and a mid size SUV. It was bad but both cabs were intact and airbags blown all throughout both vehicles. There were a lot of people stopped and helping so we kept moving. Hopefully everyone lived.

Anyway, On our drive out I noticed that north of Adelento on 395 where there are big dips for many miles they have recently installed those vertical flexible poles that stand about 3' high to prevent passing. The same type of flexible poles that are used to separate the 91 express lanes from the regular lanes. I think these are a good idea in highly accident prone areas. Two lane roads with soft shoulders and inexperienced drivers are just no damn good.

Sad deal,I gotta say someone on phone texting or whatever. Look at every car you pass or see at stop sign,80-95% looking at there phone. We will see vehicles or phones that wont allow you to operate while driving in the near future IMO

Saw on fb that my buddy KC pulled some people out of a burning car. I’d bet it was the rover
