8th Annual Catalina Fun Run Reg. Open!

I really miss running my boat in the ocean. It's just a different experience vs running in the lake. To me, lake boating is more social, where the boat is used to get to the destination. Ocean boating is more technical and really being on top of running the boat. Both types of boating are a lot of fun, just different.

The last time I ran my boat inthe ocean was pulling a skier in the Catalina ski race about 10 years ago. The skier I had pulled a few times retired after that race, I got busy with work and kids, and just haven't made it back out. I don't enjoy towing my boat long distances, and certainly don't enjoy towing through socal traffic for a long weekend of boating. I'll get back out there eventually.

LOL, I used to take my 19' open bayliner with a force 125hp OB, all the time to Catalina.
A snap on cover on a small open bow, is a necessity some afternoons.

Shit. So, we’re actually going to Catalina for 5 days Oct 3rd through the 8th with a big group for my 50th bday. With kids in school we can’t swing both trips.
