But a great truck for towing. Maybe not a daily driver but a weekend worker.2002 GMC HD 2500 8.1 113000 miles, loves gas stations. View attachment 1411261
Spot-on, being retired it's our weekend and river trip truck, love it.But a great truck for towing. Maybe not a daily driver but a weekend worker.
The oil it burns keeps the plugs cool...lol.Bought a brand new 2006 Yukon XL with a 8.1.
10-12 MPG no matter how you drove it.
First big block I had that didn’t eat spark plugs.
I looked at my avg mpg on the 6.0 earlier. 7.1. Lol. But it's been hauling heavy every day. Picked up a pallet plus a partial 1 of 4100 lbs of shingles this morning from Gardena. Left CWS tonight at 10 after dumping 3 tons of stucco. Tearing off other half the roof tomorrow which is rock under the shingles. Have another full dump trailer to dump tomorrow night. The oil it burns keeps the plugs cool...lol.
Still better mileage than the 6.0L. Little known fact: GM added a 9th hidden injector to the 6.0 and when the ECM senses it's getting better than 9mpg, it sprays gas down the side of the road to make sure that doesn't happen.
Lol probably true. I have the 6,0 and towing mpg can be bad. Think I avg about 8 towing toyhauler. The oil it burns keeps the plugs cool...lol.
