Any reason not to stick with the JL’s? Are they actually 8” ( M6?) or the 7.7/8.8”? Coax or component? Do you want to sync with LED‘s? Budget? Lots of options out there.

Memphis 8” are solid. Put 6 in the boat last year to replace old Alpine 7.7’s. Ended up having to use 4 JL 7.7” in the cupholder area because the Memphis 8’s are true 8” speakers. Fosgate has some insanely loud options too just not sure of size and they are expensive.

Check the depth too. It varies.
JL whenever we can.

Dunno what ever became of kicker. They were getting popular for a while there.

Honestly, I think the JL's are the best marine speakers period. Not a fan of the kicker stuff. For the price, there are other options. A lot of hardcore stereo and boating guys, just use whatever speakers they like and not just marine.

JBL floating bluetooth speaker....tie it to your wrist so it follows you around and the rest of the world doesn't have to share your taste in music.

I use JL audio. One friend reminded me that the M3s are probably a really good app versus the M6s.

I always went with the M6s, however, they take more power to drive (bigger, fancier, more expensive JL amps). you may want to consider M3s, more bang for your buck.

Just redid another boat last year and found all M6s, used off THT website. Lots of guys pull those out for refurbs or open box but never used. Scan the parts section. Got my amps that way too.
