Missing the Cali Roll burrito I used to get in South OC. - Carne Asada, pico and cheese with a rolled taco inside.

I am going to have the local XXXbertos Mexican food place make me one this weekend. I’ve been waiting because I’m scared of being disappointed .

Carlsbad had some amazing Mex food. Particularly when there was still an Elm St, not a C'bad Village Dr. The 'bertos' on the north side of Elm just west of the Fwy was excellent. Wish there was something just half as good in LHC.

The place across the street (caddy corner) https://senorpanchos.com/ is better IMO. There surf and turf is the bomb!!! Best tasting carne in san marcos!
I went to San Marcos High and use to hang at Nachos, But there food went down hill and I havnt been there in years. Maybe I need to try it again and see if it came back!!

Just had there surf and turf a week or so ago, it was the best tasting carne I have had in a while. Way better than Nachos was!! Maybe just caught it on a bad day. Who knows!!

Has gotten crazy expensive.
Cheaper to purchase at grocery stores and self-pick charges by person now, not bucket

I'm all over the place when it comes to what I actually "Like". I found a hole in the wall on Vista Village Dr. on the way to the 76/Mission Rd. It's really good and I love that small hole in the wall feel. But it wasn't holy shit good.

When we were just out of HS by a year or 2, we went to this hole in the wall joint and they served us beer, We sat in the back room w/ a group of guys, ended up going 2-3 times a week, I was 18 /19 maybe 20 it was great !

Then one day my parents said let’s go out an grab a taco and I went with…. Didn’t end so well for me, but the food was good!
