Mercury recommends Torco MTF for #6 drives,it is a fairly thin lubricant that will flow well when cold,if you have any questions call Vern at West Coast Drives he is a 6 drive guru.

Teague has me running Amsoil severe gear 90/110. Teague and west coast drive were running MTF but have since switched to severe gear. For what it's worth my magnets have always been clean on both.

You fill From the bottom until it comes out the top.

Getting close. George is helping out with the valve springs and rebuiilding my dominators. Just need to swap out the timing belt and put it back together.

Is the belt back on ? If not I still have the cam specs to check the 'open and close specs' . I'll get the springs and carb kits rolling on Monday, along with the number for Chuck in Castaic .

No I left the belt on. I couldnt find the replacement instructions so I thought it better to wait. I ordered the drive oil and all of the exhaust gaskets. I was looking at the comp cams web site and saw they make conical valve springs now. Are those better than the regular ones. It said less wear on valve train and better for high rpm...qqqqqq

Yes, they claim to have 'less harmonics' (vibration) which allows the valves to close more solid on the seats, and allows the metal pieces of the valve train to last longer .

What was the part number ? I'll look at Summit tonight .

Right after I call Harry for Chuck's number .........
