5.3 ls shop

My brother has a 2009 Silverado 5.3 with the AFM on it and it has developed a lifter tick. Can anyone recommend any shops here in SoCal (OC area ideally) for them to rebuild it?

I had the lifter tick show up in my ‘13 6.2 non AFM last week. Checked for a factory replacement engine, and it looks like I’d have better luck finding Bigfoot. Both dealer and independent shops want 6k’ish for a lifter job. Good luck, let us know how it works out.

If your willing to travel G&G in havasu is my choice, Greg is a very well versed in the 5.3, 5.7, 6.0 and 6.2. My mother has a 2017 tahoe with a intermittent misfire in cylinder 3. I've done everything short of pulling lifters, he gets the truck Tuesday because of my faith in that shop
