Heard the lifter issue was more on 21-22 years 6.2, not sure if there was a change or not for 23'..... Any case good to know, as I'm not a Chevy/GMC guy. I like Fords, but don't care for the Expedition.

My 2014 and 2017 6.2's all had lifter issues. 90% of people I talk to with a 6.2 have had lifter issues. They're covered under a manufacturer extended warranty but down time without the vehicle sucks. They had my 2017 Yukon XL Denali twice for 7 days plus, each time.

according to my dealer, they are currently not accepting new orders with the 6.2 (for trucks at least) GM also shut down orders for the 22's w/ 6.2's a few months ago.

I'm assuming the only reason GM would do that is if they keep having ongoing issues with them 🤷‍♂️ ....

IDK.... Most of the Yukon's are all 6.2 and so are the Escalade's. They have the option for the 3.0, but less than 10% get it....

My Brother in law is a Cadillac tech, says they are sending all the 6.2’s to the Escalade’s.

Just some specs I've recently learned about the LZO (watched a podcast interview yesterday w/ a GM engineer discussing the new motor)

Now 305HP/495TQ Vs. the previous LM2 @ 277HP/460TQ
Supposed to have better cooling, possibly more fuel efficient, eliminated the long crank/no start issue.
and they are able to bump the oil pump belt replacement to 200K miles vs the previous 150k

needless to say, I'm now excited about the decision.

What's the new tow rating?
hasn't updated for the new motor yet... was 8,800 lbs previously... I would assume new one should be slightly more. (this is for the at4) I think if you went max tow package it was close to 13k

Posted yesterday, my option. Purchased a 2014 Dodge Ram 2500 HD Long Horn 6.4 Gas (emblem delete). Will work for me, price and as a tow truck.

Saw an add today about 0% financing for gmc trucks, do 2023 orders count in that?

Not likely this time of year. They are probably trying to clear 2022 models now that the 2023s have shown up. You might have to wait until early next year when they start getting antsy as the 2024 models start getting announced.

Probably parts shortages.
They’ve been building the 6.2 for years, so why stop now.

They were even building them without AFM for a bit…those are the ones to get LOL

Someone mentioned no DEF on the 2023 Duramaxes. Has anyone heard more on that? That would sure be cool... unless they found something worse to replace it with.
