If you are down in the keys you should hook up with outdrive1 for beers..
Yeah, we need to have a meet up down in the keys for sure. Maybe I will post up the next time that we are done there. 👍

At some point Sierra and I jumped in the new golf cart and cruised the neighborhood.. found a couple open garages and I had beers. Some cool project boats and Sierra got to sit in a race car which she thought was very cool.

I love the old School havasu locals, such cool people.

Gonna go and take my chances cause there are many different takes on our Nation Anthem.
Francis Scott Key is an ancestor of my wife’s side of the family. And in all seriousness and honesty I have been married to her for 35 + years and only found this out maybe 5-10 yrs ago.

Sorry, no water in these photos but we will end up on the water tonight on our paddleboards to watch fireworks.

Rode 51 miles and 3200 feet of eleveati9n gain.

Then 7mile hike up to 10,000 feet with close to 3000 feet in elevation gain. Amazing how green our dry desert got.

Then cart ride to lunch.

We are so lucky to live in the best country in the world.

Also met my wife on the 4th 21 years ago!!!!!!!

Over at Preston’s getting the festivities started for tonight.

Everyone is heading to the riviera to watch the fireworks from the docks tonight. We are in E2 right now. Stop by and say hey if you are around.

Never took a single photo this weekend..tried to disconnect the best I could. Had some friends/family including @HNL2LHC's family down at the boat slip tonight. We had an epic view of the show which was a point in buying it. Making memories with my kid surpasses the importance of a photo. Ran into some other friends while down there which was nice. Not looking forward to leaving later this week, its been a good reset that I needed. Happy Independence Day, never forget the cost that was paid for it. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Edit...since we are back at the house now eating it @HNL2LHC 's mrs makes a pretty damn good crab dip.🥰

It was nice to see you all last night. The fireworks and location was a great combo. 👍 And the wife’s crab dip is always a hit at parties.

I didn't get any pics either. Was on the lake by 7:30 am and boated to a friends house. They built 2 pickleball courts on their land. Played a round robin with about 20 people. Has a great time. BBQ and beer after round robin. About 4 I told my wife I wanted to have some more drinks, so let's head home. Thought about stopping for the fireworks that they shoot off of a bridge, but didn't want to wait 3 hours. Plus I wanted a bourbon, so we went home. Got home and made some steaks in the cast iron. After dinner I said where is my phone. Realized I had put it in the pocket behind the seat in the boat when we took off in the morning. Had left it there all day and never looked at it. Had a bunch of messages, but it was great not having the phone all day. Need to do that more.

Spent the 4th on Canyon Lake as usual....and it was a shitshow more then every other year....started at the boat launch, some guy had is boat in the water and was having a hard time getting it off the trailer, went over to help and noticed he didnt have a current CA registration sticker or a Canyon Lake sticker, so I let him know, he says he just bought the boat and didn't know he needed those, then starts to pull the boat out of the water and proceeds to drag his drive on the concrete, then tries backing it back up and snaps the skag right off...I go over again to try and help and ask if he put his drive up, and he said its up as far as it goes it must be broke, I walk over and hit the "trailer" button on the throttle and to his surprise the drive came all the way up, he was like ohhhh I was wondering what that button did, then says hes never boated before....then finally we get him off the ramp and you can probably guess the reason he originally couldnt get the boat offf the trailer was because his transom straps were still on...needless to say I am glad those straps were on because with how busy it is on the water on the 4th, he would have been a danger to everyone and himself...

Spent the day on the water with no issues other then being super packed....but when we came off the lake after the firework show, we noticed half the lake was completely dark, started getting texts from neighbors asking if the power had went out...come to find out a drunk driver went head on with another car who then hit a power transformer and knocked the power out....so no power for most the night...

Then while dealing with that, and making sure my mom was ok since she was home alone at her house, I find out that down at the main beach area there was a big fight and someone pulled out a gun and may or may not have fired off a few shots....Its pretty confirmed that someone did brandish a gun, but there is confilcting info if he actually fired it....some say he did, some say he didnt...either way, glad I wasnt there with my family because I heard it was chaos with people running and hiding.....SMH....not sure whats happening to this community...

Went down to the riviera last night to watch the fireworks and loved it!

Didn’t have to deal with the craziness on the water, they had a live band and food trucks.. whole thing was pretty cool.
