Pulled the cover back yesterday. It’s dirty, but I can’t wait to get this out on the water.

(Us kids built this with my dad 15-20 years ago)

Went to Grand Lake of the Cherokees with some friends yesterday. We had a storm roll through right before dark, but after that the fireworks were awesome. I didn’t get many pics and none of the fireworks but it was a good day on the water. Also bought some fireworks for Saturday night at my place. Gonna have a few friends over and order some pizzas and blow stuff up! 🇺🇸🇺🇸

Changed our destination to HB tomorrow to bike ride and LH next Thursday to Sun. Boating. At least I can park a mile away at HB since we got bikes and leave early for home to miss the Fireworks crowd down there. Havasu should be less of a zoo next week.
We're heading out to Havasu Tuesday night and be there till Sunday 👍👍👍

Awesome to see how others chose to partake in independence day! We chose to have family over and had our own celebration!. That included smoked pulled pork, Tri-tip, ribs etc. My son in law and I went to the Tulalip Rez last weekend and picked up a100+ mortars and some cakes. Our family had a great time. Cleanup is a PITA but its just part of the deal. Looking forward to next year doing the same thing but including the neighbor that complained. She's from AZ, my wife and I offered for her to attend next year and she4 can where some of our noise cancelling gun range ear muffs. Ran in to her today when my wife and I were out cleaning up the debris for the neighbors yards, and told her this and she is totally up for it. THAT is how you deal with pissing off the neighbors.

That steering shaft break is scary. That happened pulling the trailer?

Thank gawd, no.

This happen backing up?

How the fuck did you know that???

😱

I was out exploring, between Mammoth and June Lake. I was probably 40min or so off the asphalt.

The trail I was on was getting a little tight for my big ol POS, so I decided to turn around while I still had the chance.

Felling the steering wheel free in my hands was Not warm and fuzzy at all!!!

I got a ride back to my trailer from a mom and daughter who were on the same trail.

The next day my good friend picked me up at my trailer, with a new gear box in hand, and we swapped that bitch out on the trail. (BIG fun!) 🤣

If you look close at this pic, you can see it had been broken for awhile...

It was designed to break only backing up. Happened to me twice.

That's wild.

Was considering going with a Redhead box, but then someone told me to go with Blue Top.

The OE unit lasted 24 years, so I suppose I have time to decide.

Definitely need to do some homework on this issue for sure.

I DID find a Very cool place to camp next time though. It's always good to explore. 😜
