No doubt, 41% for some places would be nothing. But, this is the friggin’ desert. Low 40% humidity is about as high as it gets around here. This morning Houston and New Orleans were right at 90%. I’ve done a lot of heat. We were here for the 128. I’ve been to the Middle East and the Tropics. The most miserable conditions I’ve ever experienced has to be South Louisiana in the summer. It Sux, big time.

I just spent the last 90 days explaining to my wife how we move and desert summers are far more bearable to mid 90s temps and daily 98% humidity.

I just checked North Carolina where I grew up.....96%. Rains almost every afternoon. When I lived there it would be 95 degrees and 95% when IT WASN'T raining. In late summer it would be foggy during the day and not because of smog. You could cut the air with a knife. I don't miss it. Here in Vegas showing 23% on Weather Underground. 31% in Havasu. We really do get used to dry heat here and it's actually wonderful. When even a little humidity shows up, we all cry. LOL

Looks like a tornado was verified somewhere near Mesquite. Moving south at 35 mph. Can’t recall ever seeing a Tornado Warning in Havasu. Well, that’s changed.

Yet everyone wants to move there. 🤣

There was a reason the saying used to be "go west young man" back when they settled this country, but I guess they don't teach that stuff in history class anymore?

I can't handle humidity. Cuduos the the people that can.

Been there done that. Alabama and Mississippi in the summer. You can keep that shit. But California does suck.

Gezz, a little humidity and you guys are all swamp ass!!!

What really sucks is having to work out side when it's hot and humid, just KILLS all your energy. Stay hydrated.

41 percent... That's cute.
99% this morning in TN. 69 deg though, so who cares. August is actually really nice here. Mid 80's and the humidity is usually pretty good. June and July are a different story.

Wife and I took our daughter up there for the weekend to get out of the heat. First road trip at 6weeks and she did great! We even made it all the way around Lake George with no issues 😍

I came across a hiking story yesterday. The segment they were doing was from Kennedy Meadows to Bishop.

I haven't been to the Sierra's once this year! I gotta get off of my ass...

Havasu is the only place I’ve been where you get 110 degrees and feel the dry heat and humidity at the same time. Heaven on earth tho

The last year we drag boat raced in Augusta, Georgia. It was 102 degrees with 95% humidity. It was nasty. You were soaked just standing still in the shade.
