This thing came out insane. Don't even know what was spent on this but off the top of my head I'm guessing 3-500k on the restore.

Not that it was a pile of junk before -

The boat is amazing. The only thing is don't understand is the 871 setup, other than that, first class all the way. I LOVE the colors.

Also, I feel like he was always straining to see over the dash. Maybe not?

Says owner wanted to keep it old school / era correct, so went with carbs instead of EFI. While on the topic of power, FUCK I love some blower whine! The video where he lays into it a bit...BOING. Ran buddies Tiger in the SCOPE poker run around 05. Teague 1,000's open scoops right behind my head. He basically pinning it from LB to Catalina and back. Ears ringing for a few days after we got back. LOL

The freeboard in that thing is gnarly. The part of the video where he's standing in the port bolster talking you can see how massively deep that thing is.

Yeah, I get the old school power theme, but maybe you missed that he said it was all holley efi. I just thought there is a much more effecient way (big Whipple 5.0 that looks like roots old school) and a gigantic whipple intercooler instead of a tiny Superchiller..=)

Yeah, he wasn't afraid to hammer down! I would be on a phone book for sure!

Oh shit, I did miss that. Thought it was carb'd. Yea, I don't know what's up with that. Wonder if he used some parts from the old motors. It already had some big power in it.

Whippled would be cool and way more efficient but PSI’s would be a whole different level cool and not as efficient lol

Anything but 871’s. Those things are heat generators when turned up even the slightest.

Pretty amazing build nevertheless.

Bad. Ass. Imaging taking one of these down from Miami to the Bahamas or even Cuba. Loved that scene in Miami vice where Colin Farrel took the girl down to Havana hauling ass

Last part of the video shows the cabin area. Mostly to store extra parts.

I'm not sure the location of Spirit of Apache. It was for sale on OSO over a year ago. It was an expensive build, but worth it. She came out sweet.

While we’re talking about insane detailed Apache refits. Can’t forget Dave Traitel’s straight arrow. Stripped to stringers. He also owns 4 more apaches including the 47 little ceasars that he’s putting back to original. OVER THE TOP attention to detail.

What is this one? Link doesn’t work.

Like old rat stated, mark runs / owns Apache now and concentrates on restores but you bring the money he’ll build a new one. I’m guessing a new 41 would be 800-a mil depending on options.

Oh, its listed in a private sales group on Facebook, must need to be a member to see the ad. Found it elsewhere. Its this: https://www.powerboatlistings.com/view/70572

So why would someone spend $2MM when they could buy something new for $1MM? History?

I think getting a brand new one built is difficult and the build time is probably stupid (like years and years). Basically easier to just restore one I’m guessing.

Plus some enjoy the restore. Like I said dude I know has 5 he’s restoring and they’ll all be better than new and all have crazy heritage.

Wow, that is sad. I distinctly remember that boat growing up. Probably THE boat that got me into boats. Begging my pops to take us to boat shows, taking all of the manufacturer's literature and taping it to my walls like posters, memorizing the lines and models of the boats so I could tell my dad as they passed down the river, etc. I hope someone brings it back.
