Stacy is sick, and I'm hung over so we just stayed home. Last night was a blast.

1 hours not so bad

Our guests left our house an hour before us and we got home an hour before them. We left at 11:30a. I got off at Goffs Rd. right as the back up started. Drove around the barricade and took Route 66 to Ludlow. You have to traverse about 5 washed out bridges in the dirt but cars made it, including a few trucks towing seadoos. Made it home in 5 hours or roughly what it takes with no traffic.

Stacy is sick, and I'm hung over so we just stayed home. Last night was a blast.

It sucks. I've been caught in it the past few trips out. Yesterday, my brother drove through an hour before I did (about 9am) and said it was fine. I guess he got lucky because I was delayed about 40 mins. I should have got off at Goffs then taken old 66 to Ludlow to bypass the traffic.

4.5 hours from Mohave Valley to Costa Mesa with one stop in Barstow.

I took rice road and it was 5 hours from havasu to Santa Ana with one stop in brea

Sometime in the future...

Kid asks "what did you do for a career dad"?

Dad says, "I helped build a bridge in the middle of the desert on US40"!

Kid "wow, nice career"...

How many years is it going to take? They replaced that bridge that was washed out on the 10 near Desert Center in a couple of months....

By the time they finish the 40, it'll be time to start updating the bridges again...is that the plan?
