Enjoy the ride
Homie always told me, “What happens in life is self inflicted.”
This is the reason I go to the River the Tuesday after Memorial day and Labor day.Enjoy the ride

We will be out thereBummed that I was not in town this weekend no matter how much of a shot show. Not many days to enjoy the friends that we have made at the river these days. I just know that I don’t want to be on the road the day before or after.
Alright who is starting the 4th of July thread? I WILL be in town for a bit around that time.
Just had a hour debriefing call from friends in town. Sounds like it was a bit of the next generation shit show. Come on all you old F’s let’s take the town and lake back from those who feel that it is now their’s.We too skipped the madness which I sorta miss......and then I see pictures like this that make me say "Yeah, nevermind."
Move along old man!Just had a hour debriefing call from friends in town. Sounds like it was a bit of the next generation shit show. Come on all you old F’s let’s take the town and lake back from those who feel that it is now their’s.
Based on some of the groups we saw on the couple trips to the store I can only imagine what it was like on the water. Reinforces my pool policy for holiday weekends.Just had a hour debriefing call from friends in town. Sounds like it was a bit of the next generation shit show. It is not you kids it is THOSE kids….Move along old man!
I really thought I had you trained better! Road was clear last nite! It’s not too bad. We’ve gone 23 miles in an hour.
Hope youre not hungover. That would suck.Welp, the 29 Palms route was great until here.

I’ve got no excuses for doing this todayHope youre not hungover. That would suck.
If it makes you feel better I had the cruise at 90 all the way to Phoenix this morning.I’ve got no excuses for doing this today
My dad left Parker at 5:30 this morning. Not even a hint of traffic, full speed all the way home. I left at basically 10am, and towing the 26 back to Arrowhead.
Traffic started well before the windmills on the 10 and was 5-20 mph all the way to Banning.
What was normally a 4 hour drive back was 6.
Being as I was towing I basically just stayed in the far right lane, only moving to pass numb nuts who couldn’t even do the towing speed limit in the far right.
What I thought was hysterical was all the entitled Tesla drivers. Driving down the breakdown lane because they’re too good to sit in traffic, or when coming onto the freeway they go around you in the breakdown lane and try to force their way in front of you. Block them out and they throw a tantrum in their car.
Also saw one idiot in a Lexus try to cross a sand ditch between the 10 and a side road near the 62 because he decided to get on the side road without an exit ramp and get stuck. Not saving time now dickhead!
Tons of people tried side roads around the 10. The circle at Morongo was at a dead stop as morons blocked the flow of traffic by not yielding to traffic in the circle trying to get into the circle.
A shit show as expected, but we made it.
Water wasnt too busy up there, but there were a few surf boats that came by tearing everything up. We haven't really had that issue before because they usually stay below Jcak smith or above rainbo where there's no houses or beaches.Other than the 1hr of traffic between National Trails Hwy and Essex (all because they can’t finish construction that has been ongoing for like 10 years) traffic has been good driving back to SoCal.
The river wasn’t too crowded up in Needles, we boated down to Sandbar and back Sunday and it honestly seemed very light for a holiday weekend, possibly light for even a regular summer weekend. Maybe all the crowds in Havasu just rent channel barges and don’t go up river….
Did have a few PWC encounters….but that’s normal - fuck those guys
You riding your pit bike Mike and riding dirty…..you also must have blown a few red lights and stop signs to make that kind of time.Took 5 minutes to get from the lake to the house. Piece of cake.
It wasn’t yesterday left after 5 pm and traffic was still horrible starting at whitewater on the 10 west. You guys don't tire of going through this every time you want to use your boat? 5-7 hours each way across the desert unless you leave at 5:00 am and essentially give up a whole day of your vacation trip? I wonder if you left the river at 3-5 pm if the traffic would be better.
I go from Phx to oc often for work and if it’s a holiday or festivals I go the next day. Been through whitewater at 9 pm and it’s backed up.It wasn’t yesterday left after 5 pm and traffic was still horrible starting at whitewater on the 10 west.
We left Parker at 5:30 yesterday morn and pulled in the drive way at 9 on the nose. Zero traffic.Left yesterday from ehernburg at 12:30 was home at 4:15
No traffic , 230 miles
Wasn’t planning on leaving early
distributor cap blew a couple holes
Plus wound up the plug wires wtf
Don’t have a memorial carnage thread
So here it Is !
We’ve changed it up to leave Friday mornings at 5am (get to the house at 10am) and then go home Mondays at around 6am (avoids morning LA traffic and home by 11). That gives us a decent 4 hour boat day and then 2 more full days. You guys don't tire of going through this every time you want to use your boat? 5-7 hours each way across the desert unless you leave at 5:00 am and essentially give up a whole day of your vacation trip? I wonder if you left the river at 3-5 pm if the traffic would be better.
It's not like this every weekend. It's Monday of Memorial Day WeekendYou guys don't tire of going through this every time you want to use your boat? 5-7 hours each way across the desert unless you leave at 5:00 am and essentially give up a whole day of your vacation trip? I wonder if you left the river at 3-5 pm if the traffic would be better.
It’s only 3.5 hrs on a normal weekend. You guys don't tire of going through this every time you want to use your boat? 5-7 hours each way across the desert unless you leave at 5:00 am and essentially give up a whole day of your vacation trip? I wonder if you left the river at 3-5 pm if the traffic would be better.
That’s the first time I’ve ever seen that.Left yesterday from ehernburg at 12:30 was home at 4:15
