We left Havasu yesterday around noon and were surprised by this backup. It looks like this could be some longer term project.

left bhc around 630pm came up on a jackknife truck blocking both lanes a few miles west of needles. No emergency vehicles on scene yet got around it driving partially in the dirt luckily traffic was light. Drove through a few red cells it wasn’t that bad car got washed. Home in 4.5 even with a 10-15 min dead standstill just past victorville but once it got going again no more slowdown. That thing around Essex is gonna be problem if you leave the river around prime commuting time on Sundays. When we went through last night there was no slowdown.

Yeah they were out there Thursday and today when we came back. Wasn’t that bad. I just don’t understand why they reduce the speed limit when the guys are working couple hundred feet away from the highway.

At least they aren’t repaving it right now that was like 15 years of awfulness.

They had 3 spots down to one lane when we came back this morning. Minimal delay but could be ugly on Sundays/ holiday weekends.

Ahhhh shit. Leaving Wednesday mid day for a trip across the country and planned on taking the 40. Is this an everyday type of thing? I was hoping to stay off the 10 on this trip.

The 40 is bad. They were replacing abridge between Seligman and Ash Fork. Cross over and one lane. Then there is the bad lane from Kingman to Ash Fork…..
