4 Killed, Including Boy, in Shooting at Santa Clarita Home

Four people, including an underage boy, were killed in a shooting in Santa Clarita Friday morning and suspects are not being sought, authorities said.

The victims include a man, two women and a boy and the shooting happened in the 28800 block of Startree Lane, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

While officials did not say whether a person had been arrested, an official from the Sheriff’s Department told KTLA that investigators are not looking for a suspect.

Homicide detectives are investigating the scene but no additional information has been released by authorities.

Aerial video from Sky5 showed investigators responding to a neighborhood of single-family homes in a residential development. Police tape appeared to cordon off one home.

We raised our kids in that town, not seeking a suspect so Im guessing domestic violence / suicide.

Our neighbor killed her husband and herself in Anaheim Hills a few years back, it really had a major impact on the neighborhood, the house still has a dark cloud over it so to speak.

Those killed include a father who is believed to be 50 to 55 years old, his wife who is around 40 to 50 years old, the couple's daughter who is in her early 20s, and a son who is a pre-teenager around 11 or 12 years old, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Lt. Rodney Moore told reporters.

The shooting "appears to be a murder-suicide in which the husband shot and killed three individuals and then turned the gun on himself," Moore said. A firearm was found at the scene, he said.

That determination was made "based on physical evidence here at the scene," Moore said, without further describing what that evidence is.
