Friend of mine has a very old 24 inch disc sander that works really well and unfortunately was hit by a forklift and it fell over on its back and smashed the sheet metal guard and the plastic cooling fan. We have searched high and low for the fan and it does not exist. So we’re going to 3-D print it. The print actually came out really well. The hole in the center came out about .001 on the diameter over the original and I call that close enough. I run my printer fairly slow to get a more accurate print from my projects. So I charge by the gram of plastic that’s being printed and not by the hour.
