… Just a guess… But I’m thinking there may be more small block Chevys in 32 hot rods than there are flatheads…

… Pretty much what I was told by a friend of mine who used to buy and sell a lot of speed parts on eBay… The hawkers wait till the last 30 seconds or something and then bid a dollar or a penny over the last bid… probably why I never tried to buy anything off of eBay

I hated that about eBay.

Cool part about BaT is that if a bid is made in the last 2 mins, it extends the auction by another 2 minutes. Keeps be bid sniping at bay.

To the average guy, it would be a fairly afFordable toy. With the easy parts finding of the Chevy. Perfect for summer night cruising fun. 3 pedals is just extra fun
Maybe upgrade this or that and dump it in a few years when a new itch sparks.

If I were getting it I’d probably call Dave Barr or call Maurcie and try and talk him out of retirement for an afternoon and lay down some custom stripes, retro style of course.

… I suppose I kind of blew it sometime ago… A high boy 32 came up for sale in the neighborhood… Fiberglass… Chrome, jag rear end …nice tan upholstery… Small block Chevy… It belonged to a couple who maybe were in their early 60s ..they were getting a divorce and it sounds to me like the wife got pissed off and poured water in the carburetor and ruined the motor …
…They wanted 10 grand for it… Which at the time I thought was too high… I had .an LS seven big block that I might have been able to stuff into it…

It will exceed what I want to spend on a '32. But yeah, thats a great ride. Really dig the sprint car steering, and the Hemi, wow. It would be over the top if it had a third pedal.

Beautiful ride, tons of money in that build. I'm a bit confused as to a traditional looking build though, with a straight axle up front, and a modern IRS out back. To me, I'm so used to buggy springs, IFS feels different in a hot rod...I've own a 39 with both IFS and IRS...but never had just IRS.

Yeah, I figured that. I believe they charge the seller, too. The ticket to get in the show/auction is also a little steep... They have a big production to pay for lol.

But, I save on shipping. The first car I posted would be almost $3,000 to ship to where I live...

They put a pending charge for their cut the second I bid on it.

If for some reason it got no more bids, there’s no way I’d own that car. There’s a reserve on it and when BaT asks for my best and final, it’ll just be for my high bid amount which of course wouldn’t be accepted. If it was it’d be a bigger score than the Roadrunner and I’d have to get a lift for the garage.

Rod tops makes them, but I think you’d have to modify the windshield as well.

Nice car but I agree with others about rear suspension not jiving with the rest of the car. If I built it I would have gone with a quick change and buggy spring.

I haven't looked close, it needs to have the posts installed at where the B or C-pillar would be for the rear of the top to attach to as well.

Edit: It is definitely set up for a top, wonder if it comes with it. It's a little different than mine.

I am a VERY picky 32 guy. Straight and flat windshield kills the look for me. This top and curved / chopped windshield is the only way to go , waited a year for top and glass the guy is old so patience is a blessing . Also notice how I did the hood louvers leaving space for some bad ass tooled leather straps. Collected parts for 6 years and will order the 5 speed and winters nostalgia bell quickchange in the next couple weeks. I also put a serious notch in frame for all the low I want.

I love it! I assume the one rendering is white - You dont see many - I love most cars in white.

I don’t get the comments about the seller not being engaged or being MIA…? It looks like he replied to all questions and was very transparent about any flaws on the car unless I’m missing something..? I understand that he doesn’t have the history on the car since he bought it at auction, but still honest about it.

That’s so awesome. I was looking at a factory five kit, but someday I’d like to do an *actual* more true deuce. I just don’t have any fab skillz so I need something I can more or less bolt together.

You're 6ft-huge...the trouble with a deuce would be the top if you run one. The doors are small, so getting in with a lid is not fun for me, and I'm only 5'11" in boots, on a good day. A stock "buggy" top maybe, but the ones that look good aren't as tall guy friendly.
