that's on cars,,, what happens on trailer brakes is when they are too far out of adjustment, they push the shoe past the limit and get hung up on the top post... backing up roll the shoe back and it seats.... when that happens and the reason is because the shoes were never adjusted and there is too much play..So I always grew up being told early 90s drum brakes were self adjusting. Is that true? I remember every once in a while the trailer brakes would lock up and they needed to be backed up to adjust.
Current trailer brakes are for looks only lol. 3500 Ram can stop the whole load just fine.
