@Tony DCB Boats why not go to Dimond valley or something closer to the shop san deigo has a few lakes right
Yes, they let OEM's and manufacturers test and with zero human water contact. The lake is disgusting and green. It looks like you could literally walk on it. Thank goodness they let us manufacturers still test our boats there as there are not many choices in the area.
I dunked my boat in Elsinore about 2 years ago in January. It took me and my wife 1 hour at the ramp wiping it down to get most odd and another good hour at home with soap and water. That has to seriously suck. It's not like you're wet testing a duck boat. Those are big boats, that have to be spotless when you deliver them. That's a whole lot of wiping down and green slimy rags
Yes I do go down to J street marina and this is where we initially tested Hansen's 37. Our Aluminum MYCO is in Havasu and I won't dip the tilt in the salt. El Cap is way too low right now and San VIcinte is way too small.I get some don’t want their boats in the salt but I think an aluminum dog trailer and testing in the bay would be what I’d do given your location..
El cap is too small right?
My guess is speed limits?@Tony DCB Boats why not go to Dimond valley or something closer to the shop san deigo has a few lakes right
Very, very strict speed limit there and the fishing guys hate us. I have tried and was asked to not return a few years ago.@Tony DCB Boats why not go to Dimond valley or something closer to the shop san deigo has a few lakes right
We unfortunately have to throw the Micro-fibers away.... Looks like baby shit. LOLThat has to seriously suck. It's not like you're wet testing a duck boat. Those are big boats, that have to be spotless when you deliver them. That's a whole lot of wiping down and green slimy rags
Yup, just don't exceed 25 mph@Tony DCB Boats why not go to Dimond valley or something closer to the shop san deigo has a few lakes right
Dave it was widened 19" and has a 64" tunnel. Thanks for the right up on the boat!I’m with the big boats when they say 388 it is a 38 widened 8 inches.. I called it a 288 because it looks like a 28’ 388..
I think this one is widened more than 8 inches from a 28…. It does have a 10’ beam
300x? Holy smokes that’s fast….Killer boat! I would like to see what numbers it would put up with bigger props. My standard 28 with 300's ran 117 with weight in the boat. I would bet it could come close to touching 140.
Post #33 here had a link to the original thread.can someone post link to the original thread of the cutting and widening? was there one?
I don’t why they would hate you lol you sound like a giant bass boat anyways with those whacker motorsVery, very strict speed limit there and the fishing guys hate us. I have tried and was asked to not return a few years ago.
They need to add some metal flake and a couple of stools on the bow. Then they could get away with it.I don’t why they would hate you lol you sound like a giant bass boat anyways with those whacker motors
I would have more that one set of props. Would be fun to throw on some big props and run it down to the dam and back.I’d bet somewhere around there or just shy of it, is completely attainable.. I have never understood taking a boat that does everything well though and making top speed the only priority.. usually when you squeeze that number everything else suffers.
Yeah, 300x's. That was against the current up above Pirates and I had a bunch of crap in the boat. I think it could have touched 120 empty and not running against a current.300x? Holy smokes that’s fast….
Wondering what it would run with 400’s….
450’s are almost overkill (no such thing I know)
Is that your current set-up?Yeah, 300x's. That was against the current up above Pirates and I had a bunch of crap in the boat. I think it could have touched 120 empty and not running against a current.
Nope It's gone. Another member here owns it now. The one boat I wish I would have kept.Is that your current set-up?
No doubt a dream set-up. If i could convince my wife I’d love to have one or something similar. She won’t go away from something easy to board. Toon or deck or it’s out.Nope It's gone. Another member here owns it now. The one boat I wish I would have kept.
Honestly a deck or toon is pretty ideal for the lake. Easy on and off and a ton of room inside. The reason I sold the Skater is it was sitting in the garage all the time while were were using the toon. I wish I still had it, but having our toon on a lift in a slip makes boating very easy. The flat deck that this thread is about would be a perfect Havasu boat.No doubt a dream set-up. If i could convince my wife I’d love to have one or something similar. I say the same thing about my 28 Skater.Nope It's gone. Another member here owns it now. The one boat I wish I would have kept.

Don’t throw my good towels away- I need to send you some rags to riches microfiber soap!We unfortunately have to throw the Micro-fibers away.... Looks like baby shit. LOL
That would've been me towing a new M-37R home to test it on Elsinore. Pics coming soon. View attachment 1177346 View attachment 1177347
