$155k with a 540 and $165k with a 565. Both with Daul Hydraulic steering/XR Drive, Half capped.
That’s quite a bit different price than your Instagram person gave me the other day. 165 makes the deal a little nicer than the 185 I was quoted maybe a typo on their end.

Hmm I quoted a 28 at $179k with a 600sci on IG the other day. Happy to email you a detailed quote so you can see standard features and compare power upgrades. Just let me know if we can answer any questions for you or drop in!

Is Ultra still running 3 years or so to finish a boat? Met a couple owners over the years who shared their frustrations with me on the length of time to finish their boats.

they are getting better, based on my discussions. Most know I supported Ultra for many years, even after Rusty entered into the agreement with JW. I did step back due to those long builds and issues posted, but Ultra has my boat now for some work. Only reason they got the work, long conversations with Rusty and Andrew at the shop. Both were very honest with me on what got them behind, how they are fixing that and avoiding that in the future.

Some of those longer builds have multiple factors in play. I know more then most, and will not post reasons for the longer delays.

Thats good to hear, the owners had far more patience than I would have shown in similar circumstances.

I can't speak for others, I can only speak from my personal experience. I can say that everything has gone quickly and well ahead of schedule. At this point I can't imagine this build going any better in all aspects of customer service to include responsiveness, honesty, passion and providing good input/advice (I have never had a boat built before so I have lots of questions :).

It's just now being rigged? Wow.
There has been some delays with supplies etc..
We've also changed some staff members and are doing our best to get back up to speed..
Multiple boats are being rigged at the same time trying to get them done .

They’re not the only builder taking that long. Don’t ask me how I know.

Getting the boat back from painter on Monday. I had the edges on the windscreens & the rear hatch windows repainted as well as they are being installed with different hardware. Tuesday morning a piece of Seadeck in the engine compartment (incorrect size) is being installed & then it needs some minor gel repairs before ceramic coat.

We took the boat out for a quick test and the boat ran just about 83mph with the boat full of gear, gas 1/4 full and two of us. I will play with some props and be able to gain a few more mph. I will likely do the stage 3 upgrade next year so I don't want to buy a bunch of props, but I know of a few I can get ahold of and test for the present power level.

I was pleasantly surprised how nice of a ride and how well the boat handled! I will say the boat IMHO looks great and I did everything right as we finished the boat. This meant that I had to redo some things that were done incorrectly by a few different individuals (some very costly). Thank goodness I finally ended up finding some excellent people that have helped me get my boat finished. I will be sure to name them shortly when I post pictures.

I don't currently have a lot of pictures (I will add a few), and I will take/share more when I'm down for spring break.

This process has been an expensive frustration working with a few different businesses/individuals that proved to be many things other than providing value to the build (this is best case). Case in point, I am on the third set of gauges because of the incompetence of "professionals" knowing what kind of gauges work with the vessel view screens. I had to redo, alter and change many many things that weren't done correctly by different people working on the boat. The good news is I found an amazing rigger who is a perfectionist (like me) and we were aligned on making everything right, no matter the expense. He was a god send as were others that helped to get the boat completed (good people that I would now call my friends).

The reason I started building this model of boat is I think it's so unique (clean, sleek & aggressive design) and simply what I wanted (I like Rob King's designs, to include the Cobra deck boat as well). I hope to have many years of enjoyment with my family & friends and ultimately, I am very happy with the look & performance of the boat. In life things don't always go as expected, but its first world problems and I feel blessed to have completed the boat & hull design I wanted!

I have mentioned I have had some bad experiences with people through this project, but MOST IMPOTANTLY I wanted to mention all the people that were enjoyable to work with and proved to be honest, ethical, fair and took pride in doing quality work:

Gel Coat Repair & Hatch Rebuild- Pedro, Kari & Team with Saleen FR
Rigging, Misc. & Technical Guru- Marcos Hernandez
Interior & Bimini- Armondo & Team with All About Upholstery
Paint work, Service & Misc.- Brian with Havasu Customs
Seadek- Jade (sales coordinator) & Mitch (installer) with SC Wake
Ceramic Coating- Bob Moses & Team
