Roy was set for the 300 power. Before he passed he showed me a set of brand new in crate 300X’s for this boat. But i still think this boat being completed has him smiling from up above.
There’s more pics on the guys Instagram go’s by @1of1SKATER

That's great! I was flipping through pics not long ago, and had wondered what was going on with the hull. Glad it's moving forward.

Badass machine
Takes a huge set of stones to run a 28 with 450s. Be careful, fairly certain that will easily run well over 130

Actually the entire interior was done by Eliminator
So than i take it it’s not the same interior Roy already had done for the boat.

Specially with that huge tunnel, but I’d still give my left but to run it, or better yet own it.

Better to be looking at it than looking for it. Definitely agree with the stones.

Eliminator built a 25 with twin 450s. 28 ft seems reasonable lol 😎

I thought the same, Kinda. Think they just built a 27 also. Not saying that I’d run around at 130 all day but that skater should be able to handle it if any hull will
I know that i was told by Roy that Peter from Skater was pretty adamant not to. But to each there own, i have a feeling this bitch is going to look like a flying saucer coming at you on the water as wide as it is.

I’d like to change my vote based on new info. 😳. I’ll go on a limb and say he knows what to expect from the massive tunnel. Thing is gonna be a blast to drive though.

I’m sorry for being a little late to the thread. But are you guys saying that the guy who started this thread has passed? The original builder of the boat?

Yea @getreal Roy was one of a kind and had many boats and his plans were never going to be like anyone else’s. He was also a great machinist with some crazy one off plans for everything he’d come up with a plan and then just do it.

This was one of his crazy ideas, 36’ Warlock Cat was going to be a center console and one of the crazy crazy ideas was that he wanted the boat to be a hot tub/spa as well. As crazy as it sounded i knew if he got to that boat it would have happened as he planned.

Sadly the covid got him in June of last year and sadly the covid won shortly after. He was also building a Skater 388 that was going to get a pair of Merc 450’s that’s actually in the prior page of this thread.

I agree with you. I'm sure the hull is more than strong enough, it's the balance and the angle and the amount of lift that might cause problems. Eliminators run very flat at speed and probably don't create nearly as much lift.

Is this it in action? From a post on "Scream & Fly" Might be a different boat, I just saw "28 Skater". Apologies if it's not. Actually looking closer, I don't think it is. Sorry guys. Still cool though.
