Looking at getting a champion 2500 dual fuel generator for my lance camper for when camping with no power. Look about 1/2 the price as Honda 2200. Wouldn’t be using it too much. Boat races at Ming and a few other places. Maybe get a second later to piggy back for the ac. Looked at the craftsman and a few others. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Might want to look at the Honda 3000 handi. It’s lighter than the standard eu and will run the ac.

They will have smaller tank and be a little louder than the eu though.

When I had my lance I used a front hitch rack and carried my eu3000.

HF Predators are pretty reliable and about half cost of a Honda. Some say the Yamaha's are nice as well.
I recently bought a WEN 3800 that I'm real pleased with other than the weight. At 92lbs it's a bit to put it in the back of the truck. Has wheels as well if is something like a toy hauler being used on.
Good luck.

Look at amps when running and Not the max amps or high RPM.…

if just charging batteries then it doesn’t really matter

But if you want to run a microwave and an AC unit then it matters

also make sure you can shut off fuel and run carb ( float bowl ) out of fuel.

I have 2 gensets

1 - w/ 30 amp plug powered up entire coach - this powered the coach using 1 outlet or ALL. the outlets w/ AC
1- 1 w/ 15 amp plug to charge batteries and run a heater blower fan / watch TV at night/ electric blanket

both ran on gasoline but one used a lot of fuel and one would run all night on under a 1/2 gallon

Check out the GenMax line.
Pretty much the same size with twice the power, fuel injection and remote start:
