I finally got around to seeing what propshaft height is. 1.5" below.
I'm not screwing with it. Going to run it as is this year as this motor is getting sold anyway.

Finished the other seat base reinforcement. Got both pin cleats mounted. I wanted to wait to mount these till actually being at a dock to see where I wanted them.

You dont. You use spray foam before sealing them up.

I've heard of that for industrial or tractors, but not for high speed street tires

Yeah I know what you mean There was a period during my mid-40's, then once again mid 50's (See a pattern here, lol) when I occasionally but briefly questioned that earlier decision
Now at 70, I'm amazingly happy I made it and would not want to be out playing any dating games or sleeping alone in a vee-berth Age does have a way of changing one's perspective
The first two ? --- I haven't a fuckin clue what I was thinkin, other than my dick is one dumb fucker I tell ya, LOL

Rented a slip in oshkosh for the weekend.
Launched a little after 5. Ran from oshkosh down to fond du lac, then back north up the opposite shore to a small marina at stockbridge. Grabbed a burger and a beer.
Ran the 11 miles back west across the lake to the slip.

Once again thanking you for providing this mornings entertainment, so much fun following along!! --- Bravo

I must admit, pre-Hula, only two things ever came to mind about Wisconsin, the Packers and Oshkosh Air Show --- and Cheese, so yes, three.
A few previous Hula lake pics got me curious. Boating in Wisconsin ?
Do they do that ? I've only seen pics of freezing temps, people freezing at Packer's games, Ice and snow, how do they boat ?
So I started googling maps, aerial views, looked very pretty, but I must say, your pics make me realize, these bodies of water are much larger in real life than on maps. That is some awesome boating country
Two questions when you get a chance.
Is that Fox River segment no wake zone ?
So Lake Winnebago (Didn't know before they were indians !!) connects with Butte des Morts and Lake Winneconne (At least I think it does, you haven't got all the way there yet). Can you navigate from any of these lakes to Lake Michigan ?
