22 Liberator with 450R acceleration video

I ran the 22 Liberator with the new Mercury 450R V8 again today and my buddy Steve Bishop had his Go Pro. Ran 123 with a Hill 34" x 15.25 five blade cleaver. The new Porta Race bracket sure helped alot wkile trying to get the best top speed. Amazing how strong they are while holding this 450hp motor. The motor was on the rev limiter at 6450 rpm, so I have a bigger one on order. New and for sale at $108k. Here's a short video of an acceleration run.

Randy, great looking boat!! The 450 is a game changer. I have quite a few miles in the passenger seat & back seat of KingofBeers badass 300R Liberator. I would love to see a 450R propped for acceleration to 110-115mph. Just my opinion but 115 in this size boat is flying.

It's a really nice boat. Consistent wind chop he is great to legit 1 1/2 footers at 70mph. It gets over big water much better than I thought it would. They seem very happy with it.

I love the 21 with the 300r. Its a GREAT size boat for where I live. After 80+ hrs in it the last year Im comfortable in most any water you find out in the Delta. Im mainly talking inland areas. You get out into the open waters West of Antioch bridge and things can get pretty nasty pretty quick. Cruiser wakes will also slow down much larger boats so I dont count those

I honestly think my boat handles a bit better with MORE weight in the stern. With full tank of fuel I feel its more planted and just handles better. Like Rob said, 115 in a 21' boat is flying. In mine we are consistently able to hold 102-103 with 2 people and whatever crap is in the boat for a day on the Delta. I think the power available down low from the 450 would be extra sweet in my boat.

No need to mess with trim or engine height once it was set. I don't need to trim down to get on plane. At top speed, it actually runs slightly negative trim. At those speeds the Porta bracket comes in really handy. Just 1/8" in extra height makes a big difference in speed with the big gearcase. At 123 in a lake barely 1 mile wide, I had to shut down and turn very hard to not end up on shore. I just got a 38" cleaver but it was too big. The 34 I ran in this video was on the limiter at 6450 rpm. I have a 35 and 36 coming in to try next. I just need a longer stretch to get it rolling. I want to get a good topend number before it sells.
