Maybe try a different prop... sorry could not resist. That is absolute nightmare, One I have been through... About 6 yrs ago I walked into our storage smelled like smoke; peeled back the cover on our Malibu and realized it caught fire but smoldered out before it fully ignited...due to a faulty onboard charger... it stopped smoldering cause it burned throught the power cable... Whole boat was totaled...just was lucky it did not ignite and burn the whole storage facility down.

That is the first 22 Jet I have seen...beautiful boat...

I thought I'd update this for context, Last season Josh and I Built the 496 Blower motor deal and a custom hybrid Jet drive for this Mans "dream boat" being simultaneously built at Liberator , one of his goals was to make LOTO , which he did indeed . The New 22' Liberator with a full fuel load and full interior ran a respectable 92 MPH in LOTO 3/4 mile pass and also won best in class , He had put it up for the season in a storage garage of a friend :

We lost both boats in a shop fire a few weeks ago Pats 29 Shockwave and my 22 Liberator Jet 2 very bad ass rides and Lake of the Ozarks champs. Now that we are done dealing with insurance we can all move forward. At the end of the day these are just things and luckily or good friend Tyler wasn’t killed when the gas cans he was refilling from a 55 gallon caught fire when the electric pump being used arched. We are blessed to have good friends who have helped us clean up and get through the mess. Knowing myself and Pat we will build something again soon.
