Congratulations! Looks like a badass boat.
Lol. That's kinda what I told him when he was trying to push me, which i respect, but I'm salary. Unless they make me a partner or I open my own place, I could work all I want for the same amount. LolDamn, that's a sexy boat.... you keeping it just like this, or giving it your touch?
I also need to you your secret. I can work 24hrs a day for a year, and not come up a and 100k (guessing) with out selling my other bad ass sled to make the difference...
Props to you on the hustle..

I'm surrounded by hungry people. My friend pushes me hard.Right? Guys a fuckin baller for being early 30s. Props to him.
I vent to you a lot so you understand hahaHe works hard. But I tease him about it all the time.
In time. We bought a parker pad in Feb so I wanted a turn key boat. Maybe do little stuff here and there. But really focusing remodeling the parker pad this year.Beautiful boat. Go baller. Triple axle and drive guard has to be next on the list lol.
I think the benefit is running my own business. If I was on a W2 it would be different. I'll probably have an f32 lol. I do miss having a W2 cause running a business is stressful.Damn, that's a sexy boat.... you keeping it just like this, or giving it your touch?
I also need to know your secret. I can work 24hrs a day for a year, and not come up with an extra 100k (guessing) without selling my other bad ass sled to make the difference...

LFG!Gang Gang congrats dude cant wait to run em
I could only do it now that I'm somewhat young. Need to start hiring people soon.Don't knock being on salary (W2), I own my business and still cannot work those hours and pull it off.... I'm always paying for something that's not fun related, like quarterly taxes....
I need a union side hustle...
Gotta stock up on black socksChange your name to 2DCBChrisV lol

Yeah i average 70-80hrs a week. All I do is work then go home and play with the kids. I would say ever since I stopped drinking, it changed my life.Don't knock being on salary (W2), I own my business and still cannot work those hours and pull it off.... Doesn't matter for our business, I'm not in any trade. We work B2B and projects need to go through approval process 80% of the time over 150k. That can take 2-6 months, and longer. Then we have engineering work, fabrication after approvals then scheduling the work that is 95% in another states. What's your average hours in a work week? If you put in 40. Bump it up to 100 for 11 weeks straight should net you 100k. I am to old now. 100 weeks where me down after to many in a row. 84 seems to be a happy medium when I have something on my mind I want or like now trying to keep all customers happy and not pass up to many jobs.
Your killing it! Hope to meet up in Parker sometime soon.Yeah i average 70-80hrs a week. All I do is work then go home and play with the kids. I would say ever since I stopped drinking, it changed my life.

I'm trying to buy a building now too, but in Texas as I cannot afford one in CA... I can get buy with 13-15k sq feet with a about 2500 office included in that. Have 18k now all in but rent for us is finally moving up to where it makes sense to buy at a decent price. 3mil in ca doesn't get you much.I am by a few months Lol. I bid all the jobs so I can fluctuate my prices to create more work as needed. But I try to average a certain amount per hour or I would rather be at the river enjoying life. More I put in the more I make but the stress levels go up accordingly. I took a few years off of the hard work for a relationship. Now I want to buy a commercial building for my business and holy shit. The one I tried so hard to get recently would of been $7500 more a month after a big down payment. But I went all in trying to make it happen. Now I might just give up on that plan and not work so much.
Same here. I have 2 years left on the lease then trying to buy. I need about 15k sqft of warehouse and 2k of office. Pickings are slim.I'm trying to buy a building now too, but in Texas as I cannot afford one in CA... I can get buy with 13-15k sq feet with a about 2500 office included in that. I missed a great one because it takes so long to get an LOI from the bank due to all the financials that are needed and PFS....
You want the building in another business name and have your construction business lease it and you can include your pay in that lease as well, then your construction business can write off the lease (including your pay) for rent. Then obviously you write off the deprecation on the building.
hijack is fine. I'm in the same situation. Would love to buy my own building. Even trying to find a house with a shop is a pita. Cali is truly expensive to run a business.Sorry for the hijack....
Back to the scheduled show...
When is the maiden voyage?
Thanks man! Truly came a long way and still learning things about the boating world.Beautiful boat! All of your stuff has always been super cool, I loved that Eliminator you had.
Good for you on working so hard and enjoying what you've put so much hard work and labor into.
This your fault. hahahabout time!! super excited for you guys, let me know when your heading out next.
Two boat gangHELL YEAH.. Congratulations.
Yeah i'm loving it more I look at it. It's not crazy graphics. Will see what the wife thinks this weekend. Hopefully she likes it. Once thing for sure it's alot quieter than the 280s two strokes.Beautiful, and I dig the colors and gel...they are timeless and less period telling than something tribal or otherwise. This will be like a cadillac to the 22 though... I had an i/o mach 26 and it was one of my favs..
Its stupid expensive and possible new state business taxes coming on, just going to get worse...hijack is fine. I'm in the same situation. Would love to buy my own building. Even trying to find a house with a shop is a pita. Cali is truly expensive to run a business.
I learn a lot on this forum with dudes goes off on topics. Real world scenarios
Leaving this Friday. Got to change the fluids on the boat to reset the maintenance schedule.
Glad to help! This your fault. hahah
Need more pics. this is a very nice boat the more i look at it. Badass hardware
Literally went through my head when posting the picture hahahahFixed the photo for you @ChrisV. Don’t want you to get a bad rap not holding up DCB line requirements while docking.

Thanks man!Congrats on the new ride. Color coordinated ropes and towels are an unspoken mandatory accessory. As is the bikini for the misses.
I see you have adjustable tabs on her. That's something I wanted to put on mine so I could cruise at 70 -80 without the hop.
I didn’t touch the tabs until The 4th time we used our boat. They are game changers. Now I set them when we hit the water based on conditions as well and the amount and placement of the people on the boat. I pretty much leave them unless there is a need to adjust usually a notch or two. Thanks man!
Now I question if that’s the right thing to do? Supposedly you don’t want it down while turning? Or it’s down a lot? Again so many questions.

Interesting question on tabs and turning. Is this just at high speeds and high performance boats or all boats? We don’t have as long as a tab and only running about a max of 70 mph. Mostly running 35-55mph. Right there with you with questions and now a few more that you have posted @ChrisV .
Dave's next how to drive video: tabs v and catTabs on a vee are way different that tabs on a cat which is way different than tunnel tabs on a cat..
These are tunnel tabs.. they can help to get rid of porpoise, they can improve top speed on smooth water by increasing tunnel compression..
they can also catch a wave that fills up the tunnel and corkscrew your boat and leave you with either a memory that you really don’t want, or possibly make you a memory.. I’d use them very sparingly if at all unless you are on smooth water and really know what your doing.

My 25 Daytona had the tunnel tabs that Bob installed at the factory before I bought it new. Jim Foley sold me the boat and he and Bob stated that it helped with the “hop” at certain speeds on glassy water. He said it was like having a foot longer bottom. I never touched Them and never had an issue with them. Not sure I understand the comment “a wave that fills the tunnel” as they were extensions at the top of the tunnel, protruding flat with the top of the tunnel? Your knowledge is much greater than mine so I’m not doubting you. Just never heard of that.Tabs on a vee are way different that tabs on a cat which is way different than tunnel tabs on a cat..

Fixed, like a non-moveable cavitation plateWere yours hydraulic or fixed?
If you are talking about moveable tunnel tabs I can see your point!Fixed, like a non-moveable cavitation plate

I looked at the pictures again and see your point and the potential consequences. These are hydraulic on his boat and exceptionally long.

Yeah i get the concept of the tabs. Basically adjust the air in the tunnels.Tabs on a vee are way different that tabs on a cat which is way different than tunnel tabs on a cat..

Water electricity is electrolysis. Need some sacrificial anodes to keep that away from your tabs and drive.Yeah i get the concept of the tabs. Basically adjust the air in the tunnels.
So far what i've learn over the weekend.
-Take off i set the tabs to +3. Once its about to roll over i back the tabs to 0. Planes pretty decent from what i can tell. Anything below 60mph I leave it at 0. 60-70 it starts to hop I put the tabs to .05-1. Hop goes away. Am I allowed to do this?
I would never go more than +1 faster than 40mph plus. Feels like the boat wants to nose dive. It's definitely a drivers boat and eyes constantly on the gauges and trim/tabs indictors.
My tabs are silver powder coated and they look burnt now. I don't know the term but something with water electricity?
Over all boat did great. Wife loves it, plenty of space. Only downside is the fuel mileage sucks. Expected with power. Just wish we didn't have to stop for fuel going from Springs to Pirates then back to Springs. 120-150 gallons of fuel used and 5 hrs driving time on the boat. View attachment 1394939
