What all is out there besides the Tahiti 21? Stuff under 65 to 70k?

Liberator. Randy Corson will build you one with a 300R for less than 70K that will run north of 110 mph.

Edit: Randy also sells the 22 Talon, which I prefer to the Liberator. little bit bigger boat with more freeboard.

What about a Tuff 21? I'm kinda of hung up on the 24 footer currently, but the 21 looks great as well. I mean you could also go with something with training wheels too if you want, I could do a Trick 21.

I thought YOU,were in the Boat Business?:)

I am! However, we sell wake sports boats only. I was just curious what was out there. I would consider a new Nautique 210 or G21 since I get such a good deal. We are really more in to just cruising around and hanging out and would like to run at least 55 or 60mph. I like the wake sports but not enough to buy a boat dedicated to it.

Haha, been there and done that. Great little boat but I don't need to do 100 plus and want more features.

I do like that TUFF 21. Not sure if the wife would be happy with a closed bow.

I am just kicking tires and making conversation more than anything I guess. Would like to store in my garage as opposed to the shop or anywhere else so trying to stay 21 or under.

If 55-60 is the goal I would call Nordic/Hallett and price a vector, 210 and crossfire with a 250r. Single screen for “gauges”, a mellow interior, Lenco trim tabs & manual jack plate.

No idea what they would charge but a lot of these builds spiral out of control and drive the cost up quickly.

Maxed out marine would also be worth calling to see what their 21 with a 250r costs

What does that TUFF 21 cost with 200 to 300 Ob? I would love something like that. I do like the Tahiti and it would be perfect for us too. Like I said, just kicking tires. I am always looking. I really would love something in the 28 to 32 foot range but just don't want to deal with that big of a boat. Plus cost of something in that size that I would like just isn't in my wheelhouse.

Oh boy do I know about that! :D We are building a new house and holy crap it is just getting out of hand. One of the reasons I can't afford a more expensive boat.

Honestly, if I could find a 21ft Hallett or something next year for under 40k that would be bitchen. I really would like an OB though to have more interior space since I am sticking with such a small boat.

Shockwave would be another option.

Edit: Laveycraft would be worth a phone call. I think they had a 24 with mellow power in that price range. 250r on their 21 would probably do ok.

Not too sure, I've only looked at used setups. I've seen some used of the 21's with 300xs power in the sub 50k range. Looks like they run a bit over 100 with the 300xs.

Barron had a 19 with OB at the show.

No kidding, that thing was interesting. I could not stop looking at it. It looks similar, yet so very different. I think Terry said it was a totally new design.

These boats look badass. I’d love to know the price.

That is bad ass!!!!! I'm not ready but off the top of your head how much storage length do you need for that thing? I can't tell, but does that have a swing away tongue?

Love the Schiada too. Both of those would be something I would consider when the time comes.

It does have a break away. I think you’ll need 25/26’.

The early ones weren't notched. That would be concerning to me, especially since it rides on the pad so much.

Shockwave is having trouble dialing in the 400. My understanding is it is way slower than you would think. Like 75 ish in the 22 deck.

They got it setup right. It didn't perform well out of the box because the customer wanted to take delivery before Bob could test it. Kinks have been figured out from what I have been told. It needed a little more setback and different prop.

I have not seen it mentioned and I don’t know what the stock power package is but Cobra had 2 new 230 Razors at the show in the low $60k’s. [emoji848]

Oops. Sorry those Cobra models are not outboards.

IMO tho, I would like to see some real performance ratings from manufacturers hanging these outboards on what was set up for I/O configurations in there inception designs. [emoji848]
If I was the guy buying new boat with OB, i don’t wanna be the manufactures test run.

Glad I found a Cougar 22 MTR outboard when I did. Awesome outboard powered tunnel hull, with ample interior room

Love it. I am open. We may even just store it and get something bigger, or something really cheap like a cheap pontoon I was asking about for my friend. We just like to go to the beach and have a cocktail, cruise around, get sun. It is fun to have sort of a hot rod I can take pride in. I love to have a boat that shines and is cool looking; even if it isn't expensive.

We have to finish our new house and the pool before I buy anything :(

I want to buy a new truck cash so I'm selling everything but my race cars. LOL! Solid builder, classic lines. I think it will hold its value from 20-30k for a while to come.

My neighbor may be selling his 1999 lavey open bow - 225 opti
clean, killer ski boat. Can you get in touch with him.
IMG_8503.jpg

We are building a 242 skier open bow with a 300R right now. Will be cool. Pics to come. 23 DECKS are best with outboards, right now we have 6 jets to build.

That was my first assumption as well when I saw how close the motor was to the transom. Those decks need the counter weight to lift the bow and pack the air. I'd prefer to see it pushed back slightly farther than ideal so it could help compensate for a bit of a bow load as well.

Hallett 210 at the boat show with a 400 looked good, what was the price on it?

They said a 210 with a 6.2 was 80K in daves boat show video. I bet the 450 when you figure in the bracket,controls,etc.. is 50K more.

No idea but it wouldn't surprise me if that was a 130K+ boat.

I have NO idea on price, but that maxed out DCM is absolutely awesome and would be at the top of my list.

Wonder if they are sold with an advantage HIN?

You could always go the bass boat route and get a 4 seater from Allison. Fish, ski, party, whatever. Even has a shitter. Tournament ready ...Turn key about $85k with a 300R. 105gps w/300. Order it without all the tourney stuff like electronics and trolling motor and all the batreries will knock $10k off the price if you don't fish, want an amazing boat, and don't want to spend a fortune to go fast. Put a 250r on it and be under $70k without the electronics and be a mid 90mph boat.
