Robert might figure out how to get this from a buddy. He wanted it over 5 years ago when he saw it in the garage, but his friend wasn’t selling and just hit him up saying he will sell it to him. Well, he never got any details about it years ago and I’m impatient to wait until the morning for the answers. He thinks it’s a 21 Daytona or it could be a liberator? He just remembers it’s a V8 2 stroke

This picture is from years ago when he first saw it in the garage.

Feels like a bad idea brewing…

More then you want to pay and less then owners thinks it is worth
Haha…Well the problem is the number he gave me to get it, I would give the green light to. I just don’t know anything about it besides it runs and it is a painted.

If it's an Evinrude V8 the problem is who's going to work on it, it will need work sooner or later.
My guess is a Johnson? It’s possible it’s a merc and wrong info given?

I’ll have more information today on it. It was a quick convo- if you still want this boat, I’ll take this for it. They were going to talk more today.

Robert thinks it was a Johnson. It’s not a merc.

I was talking with a guy who had a 300 v8 Johnson on his Stoker, he said there were still a few people the would work on them.

I'm sure Chong's boat repair on Swanson will work on them.

I like the way Robert thinks 😂

Just assume the motor is junk. When I bought my Baker, it had same motor, was nothing but problems.

Plan to get it rigged with a MERC like others said.

When I re-rigged my Baker, I had WOT do it because I just didnt have the time. It was about 15k just as a baseline!

Other than the hull ID, is there any other way to tell if it’s an Eliminator or Liberator? Is the Liberator a splash of the Daytona?
Just curious, great looking boat either way.

We should have got your baker years ago. Such a nice boat.

That is what I was thinking. But, he is also secretly hoping the motor isn’t junk because he’s a 2 stroke guy- banshee..

We still have a little bit of work to put into the Howard to get it back to the condition it was before it hit the rocks this offseason. He was suppose to be looking for a 24p prop for the howard lol. Not a whole other boat.

I’m hoping the pink helps, but I have no clue if pinks can be altered? His friend is pretty sure it’s an eliminator. I think liberators are a splash of a Daytona?

What’s the cost of an interior job on something like this? Robert remembers it being in decent shape, but that was years ago.

University of Michigan brought an electric Liberator to the Boyne Thunder Street Show. Watch for it at the shoot out. This is the one skater put the hatch on last winter IMG_0787.jpeg

The HIN on the back of the boat will tell you if it is an eliminator or not. From the conversations Robert and I had years ago about it he said it was a eliminator 21 foot but I never saw the boat in person to verify. Cool boat if you can get it for the right price. But I would would plan on working on that boat since that specific friend is not know for maintaining any of his stuff.

. Bitchin boat. I’d repower it with a built 300x, but most would prefer the 300 pro max for better fuel consumption. The old mercury 2 strokes are a lot of fun on there. Cruising up river to Topock for dinner midweek was the best. We usually had the river to ourselves coming home. That boat felt just like flying..

I’m pretty sure this is it judging by the registration numbers? I thought he brought it from family, but maybe that was another person I’m getting confused from.

Oh your boat looks awesome. Love the colors of the 80s and 90s boats.

I think if he ends up getting it, he would use it at needles and have the Howard for havasu days.

Robert is a little worried because he only knows how to drive a v bottom boat. But, his friend said it’s not that hard.
