Trying to figure out a way to get rid of the lights warnings and reminders for low tire pressure. Anyone know of a handled programmer or other way to reset values on a 24 GM 2500 or other vehicle?

So your tires are inflated to the minimum pressure?

You can buy a handheld tool if you need to clear the TPMS light after rotating tires. It’s pretty easy.

I have the handheld thing to relearn positions. It’s the programmed set psi that I need to adjust. I’ve done it with programmers In the past but can’t find one.

I run 37s at 45/40 psi. It’s not just the yellow light. My exterior lights flash, I get low psi texts, emails, reminders on the app. These trucks have come a long way lol.

Oh ok. What is the minimum that the truck thinks you should be at? 50?

I don’t have a solution. I glossed over the 2500.

From what i heard not possible until someone cracks gms global b electronics system they started using. Not even a dealer can change them with their computers.

I think someone barely found a way to disable afm on the gas vehicles for global b

The Autel ITS600 is supposed to be able to change the placard listing, but I have no experience with it. The damn thing is like 4-500$.

Not sure on the 24’ but on other years just go to the dealer and have a tect 2 use this scanner to reset the tire pressure sensor. Use to cost $50.00 I think.

It’s at the dealership now. I dropped it off yesterday for some warranty work. I asked them if they can do it. They said they look into it and call me back with an estimate if they could. Hoping that works.

Or…. remove them and stick the TPMs in a pressured PVC tube set to factory specs. Toss in the glovebox to keep proximity. No more warnings, but…no more warning. it’s not like we didn’t do without them for 100 years

Dealer won't lower then because it's a liability issue. Unless you know someone at a dealer....

Richard Hibbard did it for me on a previous truck, but they're no longer in biz.

That's a lot of work. Maybe last resort. LOL

What a pain in the ass with a set nominal value.
TPS systems in my cars are programmed to ignite light if one tire falls ~5+psi below the others.

I can't recall, I think factory settings are something like 70psi front and 65 rear.

On ram 2500s there is no fix on 22 and up trucks
3500s you can change the value to what ever you want and determine trigger warning light

easiest fix 😂

Rydell in northridge did it for me and I didn’t know anyone there. Just charged me 50 or 75 bucks.
Btw they didn’t know they could I showed them a post from diesel forum's that said a tect 2 could do it.
