@HNL2LHC Tim in my boat 23’ 496 mag. I’m about 2.3 mpg. Cruising about 45-50 first half and then 30-40 second half up. Reverse on the way down.

I hold 60 and come back with about 5-7 gallons sometimes more if I slow down a little.

You should do this run with us over forth of July!! It’s a lot of fun
That sounds like it could be doable on the 2025 July 4th. Been doing Havasu for the 4th a few years now. Wouldn’t be sad to miss that mess. Other than seeing friends that are in town. We also have in-laws in town so we have space to put the boat and not have to stay in a hotel. Please post up the plans when they are available. 👍

210 Holds 80 Gallons. You would be fine. That 509 is actually good on fuel.
I thought that it was 70 gallons. Good to know it is 80 as well as not bad on the gas consumption. 👍 Could also possibly have a new boat that time of year. Not sure though if I will be willing to venture out of Havasu with it just yet…..

Keep me posted if you want to sell. Would be interested.

The plan is to keep the current boat for solo rides and our son. But who knows what is in store for us. 👍

I’d also like to say the flys on the water taxi were incredibly thick at sunset on our way to Saltgrass.

Aquarius pool looked like a Raider Nation convention!

Katherine Landing was way busy and the amount of jet skis and rental toons running around just outside the entrance to the marina was incredible. We came off plane twice for downed tubers in the middle of traffic and sea doos doing zig zags without looking.

This makes me glad I launched at Princess… no wait to launch or recover.

So did they set off all the alarms up at the dam like they do every time I go up there?

Great time running with you all! Have always wanted to do the run, & will definitely be doing it again. Burned a lot less fuel then I thought, only 50 gallons. Stopped by gasoline alley & a cool cove across from Katherine’s landing to float in for a few hours on our way back. Thank you @BHC Vic for organizing this 👍🏻

Timeless classic, the 25 Daytona.

Nice to meet you Joey and hit me up when you want to run her down south. 👍

That was a great run! Water was perfect. I have some pics and videos I’ll go through when we get home. I ran pretty hard on the way back from cottonwood. The warlock lost his lower on the way back so we gave him a ride from cottonwood and I wanted to get there quick 😂
lol quick is an understatement jamming 65-70 on top of white caps for the win! 🤙

Did you guys have good water on the way there and back. Curious if the basin got rough later in the day

It was so flat on the way to the Dam it was sticky. Basin was a little rough on way back.

A great day it was. No prop strikes or break downs but my buddy lost $2,500 on craps at the Aquarius and then, to add insult to injury, he lost his $700 bi-focal and his hat running 87.

Water was flat running north in the AM

@FlyByWire has an amazing looking 28 FunDeck and the pictures do not do it justice. Beautiful in person.

But on the bright side I think I hooked him up with some 10 dollar gas and grub specials for the ride back from the dam!

It was so smooth on the way up that my boat ran like shit.. couldn’t get above 75. lol.

The way back was a bit rough but we ran 70 and got on top. Mama wasn’t the happiest but I thought it ran incredible. She didn’t like the combination of the loud engine, wind, and rougher water at the same time. Women 🙄

I can see a twin outboard something or other as our next one 😂

I had a few mph left. Not quite full throttle. That was fun. 👍
I’ll be back next year, so we can play like last year. Was out of town for two weeks right before this and my wallet was wayyyy too thin plus the fear i had after last year costing me a drive rebuild.

Someday when I get a cool-guy boat instead of a family truckster, for sure!!
Family trucksters can have outboards. That fundeck will be a hard package to beat.
