It's my dream to go to this. I grew up boating in Michigan, my first fast boat experience was on a 42X that hit 112mph in the Detroit River. Northern Michigan is such a good time, you guys are gonna have some fun.

Love lake Charlevoix and Boyne city is cool. Have friends that have a place on the lake and we where suppose to go for Thunder. Had to go to a funeral in MI a few weeks ago and have to go back at the end of July. Just to much traveling to make it.

Went FL to El paso to see grand kids last Aug, then a 8 day cruise in Oct. Had to fly FL to TN to handle a problem with the house in Jan. FL to Eugene Or to see MIL in May then flew to TN. MI for funeral in May. Sold house and packed up a drove to FL in June . Now to MI end of July and then a, 8 day cruise in Sept. Traveling budget is exhausted.

You’re going to absolutely love the run, the people, the waters and everything in between.
I saw Charlevoix for 1st time last summer for just a few minutes in the daylight. The water is incredible & town seems very nice. Wife & I are staying in lil cottage walking distance to Boyne marina.

Grew up in Mich on lake Huron ,Saginaw bay more great boating beautiful places and nice people in Michigan than you can manage to see one of the best places a boater can be in the summertime, those 9 1/2 months of winter, brought me to California, Had some fun times with Lake Pal and his Mrs and friends here still consider Michigan my home, Wish I could be with you, know you and friends are gonna have a great time enjoy.

Shameless plug for my buddies hotel in St Ignace…

This is the place I’ve been staying every summer the last three years up in that area. They finally opened this season after a three year restoration. Stop in the bar for a drink and watch the Fireworx on a Saturday evening😊

I’ll be there a bunch in August!

Do you ever go to East Jordan. ?
We go to the foundry for lunch a lot. City marina is always good to find a dock for you. Just don’t anchor that direction very often. The coves do not have as nice of sand to anchor in.

Been coming up north to volunteer at the Friday Night Street Show - parking boats and cars - for several years now. You will have an awesome time...the people are great and the water is crystal clear and clean. The towns like Boyne City and Charlevoix are wonderful; lots of places to hang out and things to see. Even if you're not actually participating in the run, it's something you need to check out.

Blackjack and his wife deserve a round of applause. They run their butts off to get the street full. Awesome events need awesome people to make it work!

Our friends we stay with are in the EJ family. Do you ever go into Iron Goat Coffee shop that’s on the front of the Foundry building ?

Bob Mathers Ford, just had our 50th anniversary. Our dealership was opened in 1917. We still operate out of the original building. There has been a few guys post pics of the dealership.

The street show is on your street. We always eat at Sante' the night of the street show.

It is a great area, we are south of Boyne City about 20 miles in Bellaire.
Some of the best boating for 3 months every year!
I tell people all the time, I would not trade living in Boyne during the summer. But I’m way over snow. LOL The other months I might end up somewhere warmer.

Bellaire - one of my other favorite spots. Been coming up there for years - Dad first had us staying on Clam Lake in '62. Short's is the bomb. 👍

Went out for a sunset cruise after work last night. The big toys are starting to show their faces. A couple of them blasting around the lake. The largest roster tail was the twin pontoon though. LOL
