Lost my dad in April and my mom on Tuesday. Today would have been his 94th birthday. I guess he needed her there to celebrate. Happy Birthday and Thanksgiving from the luckiest son there ever was. Love you both.

So sorry. I'm with you though on 2020. Covid, my wife fractured her tibia skiing and I had a kidney and 6lb tumor removed due to cancer. 2020 can kiss my ass too!!!!

I've tried to think of something to say that'll ease your loss, and those words just aren't coming out. I spent part of Thanksgiving Day thinking about my Mom. She's been gone for nine years, and I miss her badly. My Dad and I shed some tears when we spoke this afternoon. I tell you this because I share the grief you're struggling with.

You have an deep wound that was just opened up again, and I'm sorry you are going through the pain. Nothing prepares us for the loss of our parents, even though we know it has to happen.

I'll pray for you, asking that the pain and grief will subside quickly, and what remains will be the memories of the two special people that brought you into this life and raised you.
