I’m so stoked we went that was not only a fun day and fun ride but absolutely gorgeous.

I like to say thanks Vic , for keeping this once a year get together still going after " Carl " passed ... as I thought it was a good turn out , the whole way up to the damn , I knew Carl was smiling down on us , as we all come together in person to share what he loved and wanted us to enjoy ,without any drama....

This is what I got to say ....for all you assclowns, that want to judge from the internet and send your threatening PM's or texts or blocking people etc...try going out on a damn run or another get together and meet some of these boaters in person and realize , this internet is petty stuff and you actually might make a friend or two along the way ....

Got meet , regor, Springfield and see some old friends again and catch up...

I went with keymester and his wife in their 240 ,cwas their first damn trip and they said it was a great day and enjoyed it very much.

I told them that in the worse
Conditions I have never had a bad damn run ...

This why I think it will always be on my list to do :
Very low keyed , nobody in charge ( Vic does a good job of just kinda keeping it flowing) no schedule ,everybody is having a great time , sharing drinks, food and great stories ...stop when you want to swim or take pics as boats go by. Go back when ur ready or stay out ti be last one on the water ... no entry fee . No fancy lunch or dinner

Just some good boaters that all have one good thing in common ....boating ....

Now back to the assclowns to keep posting their pics and stories.....

Our first visit to Willow Beach was about 88 or 89. Back then a very nice family owned/run operation. Their house boats were new and well maintained, good bar and restaurant, small market and a clean inexpensive motel. Then the Feds came in and shut them down. They said they were in a flash flood zone. I truly believe it was corporate money from Forever Resorts and Seven Crown Resorts, plus a few tree huggers who did them under. Very hard to find any place on the river or lakes that is not a potential flash flood zone. Couldn't have been too bad. There's still an operation there, but now it's ran by the Park Service. Just sayin'
