Dave, if you get a chance (and see this) check under the swim step of the white G25 Nautique in the first building. They just came out with stern thrusters this year for launching, retrieving and docking. The helm is drive by wire so all directional input is through the wheel.

Eliminator and Nordic had some amazing boats. DCB too of course but they aren't in any plans i have, so i don't spend a ton of time looking in detail.

My wife fell for that one too. She said she had never liked outboards, but that one was sexy. I'm not a fan of green on boats, but the gel looked great on that. Nobody was around for Nordlett on Friday or I might have made a rash decision.

The entire performance hall was low key. The pontoon and wakeboard people were used car salesmen. Nordic, DCB and Howard didn’t say a word. Just talked to each other while we looked. Gary was the only one who approached and talked to us.

Nordic had a young guy out there selling on Thursday, he was doing everything I would have done. I could have sat at Howard all weekend and sold at least 3 boats and got deposits... guaranteed, and I would have done it for free. Back in the day, that is what the show was all about. Why go, if you can't get a return on your money??

The thrusters are bad ass. I drove a G23 with one and it is so easy to dock.

Attendance seemed up from Previous years. It was pretty cool to see the herbst family walking the halls!

Overall it was a fun day with the wife and kids and even better is that I walked out with quite a few goodies for the boat.
(Whole set of Livorsi gauges and bezels w/gps speedo, aluminum cup holder inserts, twin stick Eddie marine controls, helm, steering post, steering wheel, and led trim tab indicator) Mike and Jim at CP Performance were awesome to deal with and I’d recommend these guys looking for a place to buy parts!

Eating breakfast at the hotel next door and then walking over to the boat show.

Interesting tidbit of information.. In McKinley’s restaurant at the Sheraton they have plants on the diving wall and around the restaurant. These plants are beets, and kale etc. they grow them here in the place and then plant them out in a five acre garden on the premises.. They then use these plants in the food they make!

I thought it was cool.
