Joe, you and me both!!

I have been told the coast guard is "processing the permits now" which means it should be on it's way shortly. I have been told the APBA has looked over the rules and we are all on the same page.. But they aren't actually approved yet, but it could be this afternoon, or it could be tomorrow.. or it could be next week?

I have learned (very specifically I might point out) that you cannot put up anything on the internet until it is signed sealed and delivered..

So here's what I'll say. On the backside of things we are rainbows / lollipops and all systems go.. On the front side of things I can't say anything in text.

I will admit more then anybody the timeline has me scared shitless at this point.. We are getting freakin CLOSE.. and if the powers that be can't come together pretty soon then I am unsure of the potential of making the scheduled date. That's not to say we couldn't push it, or any other # of possibilities.. I am a never say die kind of guy and will do anything I can to make this thing happen, make it professional, and put it on to the best of mine and others involved potential for the benefit of the racing community.

Wanna-be racer side question: if this thing goes down as scheduled(ie. you get all your permits, ect.), will the Friday Qualifing still be OPEN to anyone wanting to run the course? And if so, how much will a Friday only ticket cost?

Friday Qualifying and Open testing is open to anyone that has a boat the meets the criteria of one of the seven divisions. We welcome anybody who wants to run though the race course as long as all the safety requirements in the rules are met. You will have to have your boat tech inspected and will have to have the necessary driver safety equipment. You will have to be a member of APBA but can join with a single event membership on site the cost is $50.00. The cost to participate Friday only is $100.00 however, if you decide to race on Saturday we will apply the $100.00 to the entry fee. I hope this helps we look forward to seeing you there.

You will probably remove this post but you and Scott are in way over your heads and knowledge. That is why you are 60 days out with A- no approved rules, B- No CG permits, C- No Officials Staff, D- No set and approved Safety procedure, E- No approved INS, F- No rescue team capable of handling an open course race like this or do you at this point even have enough patrol boats commited to secure a race course.

All of your response to many of the real questions that have been asked about this event are diverted to I am talking with Scott tonight or response of were working this out. What you need to understand is this is not a joke nor is it a closed course event. I understand you have proposed a 12 ml course, the lack of experience that you and Scott bring to the table to run this event is going to get one of these drivers hurt.

Pull the plug on this so you don't destroy what took 8 years to build and even worse hurt someone. I would also suggest that you do not reply that all precautions are being taken for these drivers, as you and Scott have no idea what precautions need to be taken based on your past records of putting on boat races.....
