I’ve had it to 103 for a short period without changing props or messing with trim. It cruised 55 or so with the 32” Maximus
Ran 103 when we had it. Where is the 110-112 post?

Theoretically it should do much better with stage 4 kits than stock so I verified the ECMs with Whipple and they said the tunes were stage 4. What trim setting and load conditions were you under when you ran 103?

The B1's were soaking up less HP also. 6 of us in the boat, just one cooler, right around 1/2 fuel, no tab.

Technically at your cost when they charge 7-10 percent.
Truth. He got 5% in my case. My trailer was a rusted out mess and broker even located an aluminum trailer replacement acceptable to Hawaii based buyer. Impressive and seamless for me.

Is this Jack & Tracy's old boat?
Any cockpit/dash photos?

Yes it is. I watched this boat being put into Havasu for the first time at the Islander right after Jack and Tracy picked it up.

I remember someone with a beautiful blue/gray/purple Hallett 300 at the Islander during that same time. Was that you? The name was “ No Regrets”.

Im just churping here ..... reminder of the broker way to go..... mine was just a simple 30' Magic single screw for much less than your vessel .... that guy apparently advertised that boat everywhere.... ended up in Hawaii and I never met buyer or had any hassle. All for 5% commission.

Magic made a 30 deck or scepter with a single?

I was going to say I thought the wizard was 29
I hope so or I got my user name wrong.

Used to have one and I guess you could call it a 30' as well. I didn't ever measure it.

Cracked the bottom of the hull on it at Mohave. I'll never own another one.

Well, we do get some big water on Mohave, but I never slammed the boat to any extent beyond what it should have been able to handle or made me say, "Ouch". Never was able to identify a "That's what probably did it" moment either.

I started getting water in the bilge and could not find where it was coming from. Not a lot, just enough to make me look for it. I noticed the drain hole toward the front of the bilge leading to up under the rear seats and toward the front of the boat was constantly wet while the boat was in the water. I'd dry it off while the boat was beached (water in the bilge staying toward the back) and come back a couple of hours later to find the hole wet again with a little line of water coming out of it.

Trailer the boat and take a look at the outside of the hull. Found a crack on one of the strakes on the right side ahead of the windshield under the cabin (closed bow). Water was entering through the crack and making its way to the rear of the boat under the deck to the bilge. I was surprised it went all the way through.

Took the boat to Havasu and had a shop grind it all out and repair it. Reinforced the stringer in that area while they were in there. Ran for another year or so afterward before I sold it and never had another problem.

Shit happens, but that kind of turned me off on Magics. I never subjected that boat to the kind of abuse that should crack a hull. Been an Eliminator guy ever since.
