@Bigbore500r I couldn't remember if it was you looking for a truck similar to this or not 🤔
If nothing else, clean truck and a free bump!

Fair amount of views but only one comment, considering it’s only advertised on RDP what would help this truck sell:
convert back to stock tune and undo delete?
lower price?
advertise Elsewhere, like marketplace?
keep it and don’t sell?
all of the above?
none of the above?
just don’t like chevy’s?

honestly, just looking for some feedback, I actually am considering just keeping it and selling my Tundra, it gets much better mileage but my wife prefers to drive the Tundra, the reality is she doesn’t drive it much anyway so that really shouldn’t be a factor.

appreciate the feedback,
Mike.

Widen your audience, a lot. Craigslist, Facebook, Offerup, paid advertising sites. Drive it daily with a forsale sign in it.

I've never had much success listing stuff on here. Usually vehicles I list on Str8up Toy Trader or Race Dezert with better results.

This place is not your target audience for nearly 20 year old truck. Nice truck, and price is right, those truck hold value better than the ones before or after, just this crowd won't buy it.

Best bet is offroad sites, and a sign in the window. also GM or silverado sites.

That's not true. I bought my current 22 year old truck off of this site.....if I didn't have so much crap, I'd buy another one that is listed right now that would scratch the diesel itch I've had for years. Anal boat guys are the best people to buy used stuff from!

Is this a longbed truck, or short bed? I'm having a hard time figuring that out from the photos.

I made a generalization that may not be completely true, It just seems like I see a high number of newer rigs here. so guys looking for that truck would be less than more here.

See, based on that photo, I think the truck for sale here is a short bed. Canopy kinda makes it look like a long bed....

edit: answered above.

based on feedback, which I totally agree with, It appears I need to broaden my advertising. I intended on doing so but thought I would advertise it here first.

It is a nice truck, unless you are in a bind hold on the price, you can always negotiate down. The 2006 cat eye or classic do hold value better than other years, Cat and EGR only, no DEF, some argue better body style, 360hp 650tq and 6speed.

I think it's a clean truck and it would sell on here once the right buyer sees it. The price isn't bad considering the condition of the truck. It's the right color too, so give it time. While you're waiting for a buyer, fix a few of the little issues you mentioned. A clean truck from this era WILL sell.

My two cents:
You're looking for a niche buyer who knows the value of this model of truck. You need a wide audience and I would say outside California due to potential registration challenges. Rust free trucks of this nature are popular in more rural states.

The other hurdle is that you need to find a cash buyer as financing this truck is not an attractive exercise. So with that you need to find someone willing to pull cash out of the market. While $23K may not be a big deal to certain demographics, I would assume that a prospect that would not give a crap about dropping $25K on a used truck may not want to climb up, or drive a lifted truck. That further limits your buyer audience.

Depending on how bad you want to sell, the price is the easy button. If you are willing to wait, the right buyer will come along, you need a bigger net.

I'm shopping for a very specific truck for a specific price point. You need to find a guy like me that is searching for this truck. It seems like a very nice truck. I'm willing to travel anywhere in the western states for what I'm looking for, I search FB marketplace every day.

The delete further makes your sale difficult, if you have the stock parts, I would include them in the sale. I would not be so specific about the blemishes in the advertisement, I would communicate those when you get an interested prospect. I think your title is perfect, I might add Low Mileage and Rust free if you are going to advertise in Rural states.

I agree. I would remove the delete. I’d be fine with it but I think it worries some buyers about how hard it’s been used. I would also see if you can do a reasonable repair to those hood chips. I like to take my time if I’m buying something used. I want to know it’s been cared for and babied. The chips in the hood would lead me to think there may be more that’s been overlooked.

Good luck!

I like the truck it’s just priced to high imo. Same price as some of the 06 motor homes I’m looking at. I’ve never understood pricing
