All the extras everybody has
Wanting to get a little "River Rocket" type boat, we are becoming weekday boaters so we are downsizing.
Looking to get $30,000, am willing to trade for bitchin' jet boat, would have to be willing to make up difference in value with cash. Let me know what you have. (951) 275-9823 Doug

From what I have been able to find out. It was the last Raysoncraft to come out of the mold. It was kind of "Bastardized" when Dana took the 27 molds back. The boat was put together by Dana. If you you look real close at the floor, you can see it has the Dana style upholstery and side panels, missing the little steps at the bottom. Hope that helps.

Nice looking boat. :) I only asked, becaues I know others were wondering the same thing, and it'll help you sell the boat. Not sure what steps you are talking about though.

On the Raysoncraft sidepanels at the bottom, They molded in the floor a little step. I believe it was one of the small changes they made so they could call it something other than a Dana.

I'm not opposed to a Sanger Ski-Hydro with something nasty bulging out of the back. By the way, I also have a 1965 Hallett Flatty in my backyard waiting to be restored.

Since I'm getting such a good flow of response. I will throw in one weekend at our Havasu house. Nothing like a new boat and a free weekend to play with it.

You are absolutely correct!!! It's a shame our economy has come to this. A $40,000 boat priced at $25,000. We are simply changing our boating habits as our kids are now grown, we don't need that size boat. We are looking to go smaller and FASTER. This boat has hit 60mph once. The hull is old that bulletproof old school style that Mr. Aronow perfected. Having said that, the fuel consumption of this set up is very good. It holds 90 gallons, and we can boat (not float) a complete 3-day weekend on that 90 gallons with a little to spare. Thanks for the comment.:drnkfr

Don't get me wrong, your boat is very nice. I, for some reason cannot get into open bow boats or even party deck boats. There is just something about looking out over a long deck to the horizon. I can't explain it. In a perfect world, a 21' Daytona would be the bomb. We'll see what happens.

LOL! Your confused. The open bow is a Shockwave. This is my Ultra 19' Shadow.

Now you're talkin'. That's what I'm lookin' for. Although the deck ornaments are very nice, I will have to let you keep them. I have my own deck ornament ready and willing to adorn the deck. Tell me a little about this boat. Maybe we can do something.

The boat is incomplete at the time, therefore I couldnt trade you now.

It had a 555ci Chevrolet built by DNE Motorsports (Look in the engine build section.) The motor made 802hp at 6500 on pump fuel and ran 94mph. I broke it and we decided to build a 572 (will make somewhere between 950-970hp.) with all the best parts!. I wanted to get the boat over 100mph. In all honesty Im kinda over the go fast deal in a small boat. I really enjoy taking friends out on the boat and going where ever I want regardless of choppy water. However if it was up to my GF I would be completing the Ultra and buying a 23' open bow and have both. She really like making passes in the Shadow.

The motor goes to Dyno in 2 weeks. I dont know what Im going to do though. Im thinking of keeping it for another boat and selling the Ultra Hull. Who knows. Im thinking about getting into the bigger cat scene like a 25-26 Daytona. With a almost 1000hp engine, I should be pretty happy. :thumbsup

Sounds like your are gonna have to keep it. you know what they say, if the wife ain't happy, nobody is happy. I think you are going to get in that thing, blast it down the river once, and you will never get rid if it. Not to mention how the girlfriend will feel. Well talk about it when your are done with it. Provided I still have mine. What do you think about that Bezer that wants to trade me?:rotflmao:

She's actually pretty cool when it comes to toys. She's pretty open to whatever I do as far as toys. She really likes the idea of having a 25' or 26' Daytona with the big 572. She likes fast... so do I, however we also agree on room, safety, comfort and extra seats (kinda the reason I bought her the Shockwave) but the 21' has just become very boring to us.. If one boat wont offer all of those (a daytona would) then We'd keep the Ultra and buy another slow cruiser boat, this time bigger and with an outdrive. We don't dig the jet on the 21.

The biggest thing we hate about the Ultra is me talking to everyone about it on the beach and people touching it playing whats this and that. Or the "can I go for a ride" crap. It gets really old.Sometimes I just want to sit on the beach and drink a beer with my girl and my dog and be left alone.

Its really hard to have one boat that fits both of our purposes. Im going to look at a ton of different boats over the winter and try to find something new. Right now, I really think were leaning towards selling both boats, and buying a Daytona less power and using the new mill.

Having two boats is kind of a PITA anyways.

The Bezer is a nice looking boat. Im not really into V-drives so I couldn't be a great source of info.

You could fix all of your problems. Buy my boat, slap your big motor in it, upgrade the outdrive and steering, add trim-tabs (for stability) and there you go. The one thing you did not mention was the (stabbin' cabin), that would be hard to make room for in the Daytona. Just a thought.

With the motor you want to use, I think the speed would be just fine. There is a guy that runs one in Long Beach with 800hp and he runs 85 mph +. What, no comment on the cabin?:eek:uttahere:

My bad!
Yea the stabbin cabin:thumbsup:D

Post some pics of the interior. Curious to what it looks like.

I wonder how it would do on fuel with that power.

My engine was dynoed at 517 when built and I have hit 72 GPS at Havasu. The previous owner of Dana put 1000hp and got somewhere near 100mph. A guy in Idaho now has that boat....don't think the hull handles too well over 100mph from what he told me when I saw him at the DS street party.

It's a narrow beam and an awesome Ocean/big water boat.

That Chumpchange guy is correct, at 100mph I would want some very long trimtabs(the big 2 footers (K-planes) from Mercury). And as far as big water and ocean, these boats are incredible. I was in 12 foot seas out of San Diego once. We went from Mission Bay to San Diego harbor at about 50 mph with no problems at all. Then we got to go back to Mission Bay. One of our best trips ever in this boat.:D

Trailer is not part of deal is it??

The Raysons were cool, I drove the first one Jonny did with a 502 and it was fun. I remember they need the trim tabs... Then again what do i know!!

The trailer is absolutely part of the deal. How would you get the boat to where you wanted to use it? The trailer was built by Intertech, 3 axle (two with brakes), brand new alum. wheels and tires (250 miles) brakes and bearings have about 750 miles on them. New jack and bow winch. Trailer does need repainted due to the few times we were in the Great Lake Pacific. I can get a deal on a repaint, as I work for Extreme Custom Trailers.

Tom and Eddie sold the company to Lippert componenets. They own Zieman and also build chassis for toyhaulers and such. Business is slow, but we are still kicking.
