Acquired might be too fancy a word for what ya done right there.... but I love the lines and the living room styled interior rocks so Dennis Rodman/ Frank Sinatra that thing up proper with silk drapes and make her do what she was designed for... whoever built her. Great lines from a bygone era.

I'm going to move this to the lounge so you get more traction.

Those were the days, Don Arronow, Reggie Fountain doing real offshore, like where you can’t see shore! Not sure how you “acquired” it, but it’s going to take a ton of work/$ to restore for sure!

The old 32s and 34s are in the older Nada Books but not the 36. I have heard about this boat never seen one, too bad Nick's not around. What does your paperwork on the boat say 34 or 36?

Odd. Both of my Halletts had/have BAR HINs. Why would this not be considered one? Just curious.
Fiat owns Jeep.

Does that make it a Fiat Cherokee or Fiat Wrangler?

Barron Boats bought Hallett. The first ones even had Hallett by Barron stitched on the rear of the passenger and driver seats. Bud made Hallett starting with the 27 and 34 which he brought with him from Silverwing. 24, 210, 30 followed. Those are the boats that elevated the brand.

So you’re saying this 36 footer was built before Barron bought Hallett? Or is it a Barron by Barron? Not arguing, just asking.
It is a Barron Boat.

All done, a small percentage of what you’ll have in it, especially if you have to pay $ for ALL the labor, which is going to exceed the parts cost 2 to 1
So hard to say if it's worth restoring or go a different direction? As it sits I'm into it 25k.

If it's been indoors then you shouldn't have any rot, biggest expense will be freshening up the drives and engines. Everything else will probably work including the guages

Can you imagine rolling up to the Hallett regatta in that thing?

ROCKSTAR!

Man, the hardware on that boat. Simply awesome, congrats.
Yeah no.

As cool as this boat is, one thing is for certain. It is going to take some significant HP to make it perform well.

As a "One of a kind" boat, it's cool as hell. But, it will drain you financially, even if you don't run into any significant structural issues. The money spent on freshening up the motors and chasing down replacement parts for those drives will probably cost more than the boat is worth. But if it's what you've dreamed of since you were a kid, then none of that matters. Run with it and enjoy the process. Just don't keep any receipts. 🤣

This is coming from a guy who is upside down in his own slow-ass restoration project.... 👍

You have to bring it back for the love of real offshore, and being the only one still floating, not as an investment- I would because it has the cool factor, and I’m just dumb enough to do it, but it will never be an investment

I love it personally!! I’d totally Rock that thing!

I’d bet it costs less to restore than everyone thinks. It looks like it’s all there
Once together setup won't work. Then he will be chasing why with even more money, because its the only one in existence.
