Letting go of my 79 Schiada. An oddball in that it’s an I/O. Updated from its original 350 and 260 drive to a Whipple charged 410 CI small block. A bunch of cool stuff from Dana Marine used to update the boat as well. Has dual hydraulic steering to the helm with tilt, stainless helm. Bravo 1 drive with race gimbal. Extreme trailer purchased in 2004 to reflect the color I planned on going to. This boat sat in storage from 2009 until this month. Starts and runs well👍 Asking $30,000

If anyone is thinking, man, if this didn’t have a small block in it I’d be all over it, I can help out there a little bit. I’ll pull the engine and you provide your big block, with my asking price down to $23K. Food for thought?

see thats the funny part, the small block is what was attractive to me, esp with the bravo package. The boats not setup to be a race boat, so why stress the extra costs associated with the bbc. If you wanted you could easily build up a small block that could destroy that drive, but you could also set it up to sip gas and be an excellent cruiser.

The steering wheel being on the wrong side is my biggest issue :)

Cool, I hope a few others think like us🤙

I never was a big fan of the wheel on the right side but it never really bugged while driving it. FYI, I think this small block has somewhere around 580hp, if I recall correctly, so I’ve used the “roll into it”‘philosophy on my recent test runs👍

Thanks for your appreciation!

I wish I could tell you 100% about all that you're asking for, but I think I've put all of less than 10 hours on the engine since I bought it in 2008. I'm adding some verbiage below about the engine that I got from another member, who used to go by Atomickitn (Bobby) back in the day, when I inquired about it back in 2008. The drive was purchased from a member on OSO just around the same time. I don't have too much info on it, other than it was supposedly serviced not long before I bought it because it was his spare drive. Thanks for asking and I'm glad I still had the old message to provide some info on the engine
:)
HI Wayne.. nice to meet you
the Whipple is a very nice set up.. I love it.. i just had it tuned up at the end of last season.. new front sealed bearings, seals had the rotors dialed in .. and it is now oil fed with the return to the valve cover.. not the oil pan..
the motor is a dart Motown block that is standard @ 4.155 bore, with JE blower pistons
eagle 4340 H beam rods 6"
scat 4340 stroker crank
edelbrock E tec 220 aluminium heads with double springs and stainless encolun (sp ) valves
full roller cam/ and lifters
the cam is custom ground and the lifters are from crane cams
it has a billet aluminum 45lb flywheel
tilton high torq starter
eddi high flow exhaust with stainless full runner tops also custom, and is dry down past the bottom of the exhaust to prevent any reversion/ water
it also has an MSD pro billet dist
and the alt power steering pump and the coupler for a out drive assembly
custom oil pan with traps and crank sweeper and built in windage tray..
the carb is a pro billet 850, set up for a blower
and yes it is inter cooled it will come with the motor as it is part of the manifold and that has been upgraded as well
just the cost of the whipple for this motor was $5800
i have more money in the lower end than most have in their entire motor..
it was built buy the same people the bob teague uses to do there dyno and machine work in Valencia
this motor on the dyno made 585hp w/ 5.5 psi of boost
and 710 on the tourq at 4500
as far as the red line it was still making power at 6500 rpm..
this motor has two seasons on it the oil gets changed 3 times a season.. and I run av gas in it only for assurance not to F it up.. I only run this motor at 4700 max.. I don't need to run it any harder.. and I mostly cruise it at around 37/4200

Just pondering another idea. Would there be interest in this boat de-rigged? Just the trailer and hull with interior? I’m not desperate to sell but don’t know if someone would want to make this into something from a more bare bones starting point. Any opinions or interest out there?

Bad idea it would be a sin to take this thing apart. Quit thinking those thoughts. How I wish I could pick it up. Maybe I better slow down, sell my vdrive, and pick this up🤷🏻‍♂️

Man, I do appreciate your thoughts on it. It's not what I'd want to do, but I know not everyone would have the same plans as what I had for it. Thanks!

I want to run the engine in another project of mine. Any interest in this, minus the engine, for around $20k?

Hello. I messaged you on FB Marketplace yesterday about the boat. Had not heard back, and through google searching found you here on RDP. I am interested in the boat. If you can replay to my FB message, I can give you my phone number to call. Let me know. Thanks Rob.
