It’s easy to spend $100k, it’s hard to get it back! Again, the boat is super cute, there’s some good parts shown for sure! I’m not sure an iron headed NA big block brings all the money, but it’s 100% a cool ride!

Seriously though. I’ve got a flatty right now that is a very meaningful piece and would cost $200-300k right now to build a new one like it, and I maybe could sell it for $40k. You can only sell it for what the demand is in the market and that boat is only desirable to a VERY narrow market.

Tips:
Don’t be in a rush, it will take a while to find THE buyer. If you’re in a rush, cut your price to $30k and you MIGHT find a buyer in two month window.

Contact Eliminator, the engine builder, pump builder and painter and write down as many stats and details as you can. THAT is what people want to know. Nobody cares about pictures of a Bassett logo on the headers.

Tell the story of the boat and your reason for selling.

Include some close up interior, trailer and paint pics so we can see the quality of the build.

This is a bad ass boat. If someone knows this person they need to show them the way.

I might be having a brain fart, but what's the vacuum pump type thing hooked to the breather?

front of valve cover on opposite side of eng. I'm curious about the plastic water bottle looking thing next to the vac. pump. Am I seeing that correct?
Definitely a good looking boat and a bit rare. I wonder if it has a stock or updated keel and by whom? Was the boat raced at one time? Is the popoff valve manual or?

The water bottle is catching the drips off of the vacuum relief valve.

I can't figure out what the line going up to the scoop is for, that's a first for me. Assuming some type of vent

I knew his dad. His dad was a really really good guy that left us way too early. Sad deal.

He did have a lot of money in the boat and the layup was good. I want to say it was about a 400 pound boat. It's not paint, it's all Gel that was done by one of the DCB guys. If memory serves, he bought it from the original person that had Bob Leach lay up the boat from Texas or thereabouts and rebuilt the boat from head to toe.

Unfortunately for the OP. Unless this boat had a 100k worth of motor in it the boat that someone wanted, it’s not worth anymore than any other 19 Daytona. If it had a brand new 1400hp Teague blower motor maybe you break out of the 30/40k range.

Either way, if I was selling it, I’d find out who built the motor and what it is. If it needs 110 what’s the compression ratio? That’s not really a plus, not everyone wants to run 12 dollar a gallon fuel.

Find out who set up the pump also and what’s inside it.
