That's good on a new loan.

BofA will write off 300k on the neighbors house in a short sale but wont even talk to me on the phone about a modification. I can't refi, no equity in the house left. If I walk and try to buy again they say I defaulted. Fuking system.

It's got me feeling guilty of being white...

I finally had my loan mod go thru with BofA, after having somebody work on it since Sept, and have my first payment due July 1st. If you want a number of my guy PM me, you don't pay unless it goes thru.

Same here but I said fuck it and missed two payments and they modified my rate and dropped $40K off my principal balance. My rate for the remaining of my mortgage (25 years) is 3.1%. I did it all by myself. All the paperwork etc...

Sure my credit got screwed but It's only temporary and I don't need to buy anything at the moment. Also the mortgage is only under my name so my wife's credit is great if we ever need anything.

yeah i jumped on it this morning when i heard the news and applied online for a refince through my current mortgage lender and this is what they said:

Updated for 15 year, but remember, the lower your loan size the higher your rate. Best rates come from loans with $250k+, a no cashout refy, and to get under 3% they would still need to buy a point. I am quoting you 0 points

New loan 3.5%

btw: this is Chase

We are in the process of refi with BofA, 15 year at 3.26%. That's about the best we're going to do.
