Homeschool kids that turn out "weird" only do so because of their weird teachers. 😝
Well, I've seen what public schools are producing...so there must be some pink haired, pierced and "confused" teachers. At least home school they'll end up your own brand of weird.

I have one in a charter, one in public and one in private college...and a public school teacher for a wife. I'm pretty sure all are thought of as "weird" by their peers. I'm good with that.

Totally agree.

I fully support homeschooling. The tendency is to blame teachers at school for underachieving students but blame the structure of homeschool for different kids. Heck, I try hard to have my kids be different.

If we weren’t in our current school we would absolutely be doing the co-op homeschool with a teacher. I think that’s still a fantastic option. Still gives kids some social interaction, more control over the curriculum and I’d expect a faster learning.

Our school is effectively just that but on a larger scale. They use HS curriculum, have a teacher and usually two aides per class and around 24 students in each. Kids go to school on campus 3 days a week Tues-Thurs and homeschool days are Monday and Friday. Works out great for our family and forces parents to be involved. (I was surprised how disconnected we were before moving schools without even realizing)
