Follow the money. My son's are older and have finished up school, thank God! My wife's two boys still have a few years left, so we'll see how this plays out. 👎

If the Republicans have any sense, they are already creating the TV ads about this for the final push before the election.

Parents, especially Moms, DO NOT want this AT ALL!
You want to bet. My wife is a PNP up here in conservative Idaho and moms have been eagerly having their kids jabbed since it was approved. My wife just shakes her head at them. My guess is most are recent CA, OR and WA transplants that were brain washed before moving here.

Here in WI, where they have advertised the hell out of the vaccine for your kids, the current rate is less than 5%. Seems to me that parents are saying hell no to this and I am damn happy to see it.

I'm really surprised the establishment let the CDC vote on this before the mid terms...

Pretty much spot on for the Libturd politicians out here and their positions on Law Enforcement. Fuck them and anybody supporting them.

Down with the elected! I dont know how government officials in these offices are appointed or hired but they need to be put into check. Government is supposed to have a system of checks and balances built-in and some agencies have gotten off their leashes.

Anyway...

I have my kids in a private christian school and they are totally antiwoke. Actually the headmaster and his wife are hosting monthly meetings on how to have a more biblical worldview and how to teach your children to have a more biblical worldview. They are very cautious about what funds they seek in help from the state because they want absolute minimum intrusion.

For those of you that are on the fence about homeschooling, ive heard its pretty cool. My girls gymnastics coaches started after covid and we live in ARIZONA. it is very easy to homeschool and most trips anywhere can be turned into a field trip. From her explanation, the state is very hands Free. She is not the home school type of mom but she said it hasnt been as tough as she thought it would be.

STates need to take back thier power from the fed... Except in California that actually may suck more. Just remember God is in control and when the time is right the house will be set in order!

The CDC are not elected officials. Is part of the rub here. They have so much power they can wield yet thereis no checks or balance to them.

On the homeschooling.
It’s a good concept if it can be balanced out.
Most of the kids I have met that were home schooled seem somewhat socially awkward. They excel in some areas of scholastics but seem to have a deficit in others.
Not sure what the answers are but something has to give.

I know right me and my wife said the same thing! In our church group of ten couples 8 families homeschool 2 of us go to Christian school.

Homeschooling is becoming very popular in this area. It may change as the election for school board supervisors has a lot of anti CRT candidates. But i know for know a lot have parents have withdrawn their kids.

This is what we're afraid of with home schooling. Our son is 3 and we will probably look into private school, if they get a pass on this BS shot. Unfortunately most, if not all are religion based which has its own ups and downs.
I'd prefer he just learn the stuff I did in school, nothing more or less.

For all the Cali peeps that want to protect our children from this nonsense, take a look at the link above. PERK has been fighting tirelessly for our kids.

Guess I will get called out for this....but pretty much anyone under the age of 25 should not take the shot. The younger experience more effects percentage from the shot then having covid.

A small group of like-minded parents pooling their resources to homeschool kids makes a ton of sense.

That’s what we’re leaning towards.
This was an idea I as thinking of, but I like the idea of having a real teacher. Say 20 kids and 1 teacher, and the parents pay the teachers salary.

Years ago @Froggystyle posted about this.
A brilliant concept I think.
In addition to the three R’s of school, these parents can teach life skills along the way in class. Dad the plumber or electrician can share some knowledge.

Sewing, metal fab, etc.
and of course with a guy like Wes in the group, improvised self defense (and offense😉) among other skill including proper grammar, punctuation etc could be shared😎

So we’re taking the lead from some friends in Virginia, and what they did during Covid and school closures.

A group of 6 or 8 parents chip-in $1k per month, and they hired a teacher. The teacher is making way more money than they would have at a traditional school, and they rotate which house will be that weeks “school”.

Sort of surprisingly, the amount of actual learning at most schools is a small percentage of the time. The rest of the time it’s a glorified daycare, and the structure is to cater to the lowest common denominator, effectively dumbing-down learnings at the expense of the “smarter” kids.

So their homeschool kids can either have more time to do other things, like be kids, or they can accelerate the lesson plan so their kids can learn more, sooner, or they can go on more field trips, etc…

We will see how it plays out, but that’s the way we’re leaning.

I'm curious as to how this will work, so if you should find more info, please post it up.

I've still been slowly amassing materials and such for the "classroom" project here at the house. My wife is sick of the district BS, but for now it is consistent money and medical insurance, and her district isn't bad...yet. She's looking at doing a private pre-school. The problem, as I see it at least, what becomes of those students after? What options are available to them or their parents?

I've kind of thought of collecting a small group of like minded teachers or more qualified instructors to help with curriculum. Kind of like instructional aids or tutors. Maybe meeting in a common building once or twice a week or something.

A lot of the general ed teachers are fuktards, products of the system. There are some well qualified individuals though, that may not know "teaching", but know the subject matter.

I have a junior and a freshman this year. One in a charter, one in public. They may be done before this really turns to hell. The problem is, this is looking like we need to prepare something for the future, not for my kids, but for the younger ones coming up.

There’s tons of resources available in Tx, has to be the same for other states. I’m a few years always but I know others here have done it already. So don’t reinvent the wheel if you don’t have to.

Here’s just one resource:

Here’s just one resource:
That site is a pretty helpful one they put together. A lot of those links are also nationwide outfits, not limited to Texas.

The younger grade levels my wife is prepared for...overly in fact. When we moved out here, she had no job lined up, and once started, no seniority. She could have been bumped from kinder to 3rd easily, and up to 5th if they wanted. So, we literally have a semi trailer, "the school shed"

With our own kids, one graduated HS with 2 years of calculus, and the current junior will have 1 at graduation. I took intro to calc my senior year...but that was in 1995. That horse has long since left the barn. I am utterly useless at that level of math now, like looking at Sanskrit. The upper grades and levels of instruction are what most parents will have trouble with. Keeping your kid challenged is difficult when they are, honestly, smarter than yourself. My kids could read and write (printing) going into kinder. Cursive writing was started as well. At that age I was pretty helpful. I now have a 16yo that is self learning "coding"...just last week he's explaining something about "machine code" and the different coding "languages"...

Other things that need to be thought of as a parent are things like learning ability and disability, speech and attention span. I have three kids and each one learns differently and has different strengths and weaknesses. Identifying these things is not as easy as you'd think, and don't always show up early.

Homeschool kids that turn out "weird" only do so because of their weird teachers. 😝
