I drove to the airport to fill some jugs up with 100 LL today and they can’t sell it to boaters anymore. Only aircraft. That was the last spot in town. Anyone have another option or are we SOL?

Sun Valley Airpark, Fort Mohave. Come in off El rodeo Rd and go through the chain link gate behind the hangars. 24/Hr self service

Don’t want 100 UL? Several spots in town switched to that.

That's why I always fill up for aircraft landing at a remote strip with no services.

Which airport are you referring to and where? Is this about Desert skies on the north end of Havasu?

The same few people work at Desert skies and they are there all the time. I will call them. I'm gonna be there in a couple weeks and I wanted to fill up some fuel bottles to bring home for my car.

Anyone know if the VP Fuels gas station in Parker will ever come back? I heard at one point you could special order fuels and they would deliver them there for pickup. Of course if it’s gone it doesn’t help.

No, my carb motor likes the lead to help seat the valves.. I like to mix it in with 91
Tell your machinist to do a proper valve job instead of a fucktard one. Carbureted vs whatever doesn't make a difference. If you need AV gas to seal the valves, the valve job was done by a drunkard with worn out 60 year old pilots and a rock.

There was a thread here recently about 100 LL you could still get it at Parker airport for your boat.

I got the same story from the airport on Thursday. Went to Parker oil and got 91 non ethanol. The guy at Parker oil said someone dropped a dime on the airport for selling it and weight and measures shut it down.

Their 100 octane is $8.50 a gallon and 9.5% ethanol.
Same shit you can buy from the pump in California. Havasu slowly turning into California, unfortunately.

Last time I was there they were selling Sunoco. Before that it was F&L. 100 UL but has Ethanol.

Edit: Looks like they are still selling Sunoco products:

I was denied entry at Desert Skies in Havasu on Friday night and Saturday morning. I’ve talked to a few contacts at the airport and the reason is AZ Fish & Game was told about us boaters fueling. They do not want the lead in the lake… thank you to the rats of the world… they all said go to Parker Oil for UL

Does that include Parker Oil in Havasu ?? Most posts on Parker Oil reference Parker station.

Both Parker oils sell the same 100 UNLEADED, neither carry 100 LL for the past few months.

I’m not so sure that rumor is true. Weights & Measures isn’t setting foot anywhere near Indian land but can’t remember if the airport itself is sovereign or not.

So I just got a quote for Sunoco 110 Octane from the place in Orange, CA.......$18.50 per gallon includes the pail but not sales tax 😳

SUNOCO STANDARD 110 5 gallon pail $92.50 per pail (price does not include tax)

Ya thanks, I was looking for something to spike the 91 Octane I use in my 67 Camaro LS3 motor in OC
I go to Sundance Mobil in Havasu $9.99/gallon for 110 to put in my 33 Daytona. Don't need a drum full in my OC garage

Good to know there is 110 in Havi! I plan on putting an injected motor in my GN boat and I could use the 110 if I ever want to race/cruise around the strip

I buy the drum but 100LL has a crazy shelf life as opposed to UL so it makes sense for me. If you don’t run it often then I’d understand buying by the pail.

I’ve found all kinds of reasons to use 100LL. For example, all my lawn equipment is now on LL 😂

I’m confident that they love selling by the pail as it’s a much better profit margin. Who knows if the pail is a true 5 gallons?

Their site says the 110 has a shelf life of 2 years. I mix 4-5 gallons of 100 or 110 with 13 gallons of 91 for the Camaro
and only put a few hundred miles a year on that so I only need a couple pails a year. Wish I had an RV garage in OC the size of my Havi garage 😜
I'm sure most us do.

I don’t have it delivered but pickup is somewhere around $400-$450ish if I remember right. I’ll look at my statement when I get home.
