So as per Deatch Werks, the 90° will drop a flow rate however the amount is so marginal even on a bench test you won’t see the difference. Also my 90°are pre regulator (and each pump is good for 750hp) and as returns only. I picked their brains quite a bit, and they even directed me to a few YouTube videos. I’ll see if i can find them again.

Awaiting one final package from MIW and the interior will be able to go back in finally. Everything is wrapped up, no fuel leaks, no coolant leaks and the power steering is bled.
Redid fuel system to be cleaner, replaced the coolant hose to reservoir as it was the original than two joints to get to the new location, as was the power steering reservoir. Replaced both belts, plugs and oil change as well.
Coolant tank and charge pipe pc Mercury Racing blue, cut and reconfigured the power steering reservoir mount as well smoothed out the top 90° for the oil filter mount.

Now to decide to get her wet while it’s cold or peel all the hardware off the rear and have it powder coated! Probably that as way easier with the hatch off!

May seem stupid, but the package from MIW was something so simple, yet as the shoulder pads in the gunnel are out, so i couldn’t put back in without changing the kill switch from plastic to the sexy billet aluminum one.

Also decided while waiting to build a new blower guard, as the seats were out made it so much easier to fix a few of the issues i personally had, angles and radius, but working with stainless sucks so i did it with aluminum. As well as i knew i needed the flat tan to hold the bimini up i didn’t want to make it a two piece this time. I’m way happier with gen 2 of that part.

So much for the interior going back in, total of 43 different pieces of billet came out of the boat. All was originally polished with a clear ano over it, and after all the years it’s not as pretty any more. When i did the steps i did the Prismatic Heavy Silver and it matches the silver in the boat perfectly, so went ahead and did everything that color.

Should help make her look closer to new for sure.
Also shortly after buying i was able to get new decals for the rear of the boat, as one had a bad wrinkle in it and did a different design as well with the F series incorporated into it. So am getting the large F26 decals replaced to match in color and a little less of the orange on the boat.

Did the anodize fade? I want to change my gauges but not sure what theme to go with yet.

The ano seemed to dull real bad, so if it’s polished stainless it’ll stay that way everything else is getting stripped and powdered.
Gauges are fun imho, your boat would easy imho lol. White face yellow or blue print and blue needles.

Haha love what your doing!

You're honestly are the only guy i could see doing the days of thunder scene caressing your boat with a rose.

Obviously your boat is nice, i appreciate your eye for detail and patience to get it right. You're truly a motivator! Although ill never be at your level ill at least give it the ol' college try.

I can tell you firsthand this is not true for lines carrying oil. You can measure the difference in pressure drop, sometimes temp rise, and difference in flow at each 90° fitting.

The other thing to consider is aeration/laminar flow.

I think you’re fine with fuel, but viscosity changes change flow characteristics. Just don’t want misinformation out there. For the record, two 45° fittings outflow a 90° fitting (measured on a running engine on the dyno)

You’re doing a great job with your sled, nice work 👍🏽

Yea and it makes sense but according to people way smarter than me they did it’s perfectly fine, however it’s only been in discussion of fuel nothing else.

So got all the powder coat back i love it. Only a few small piece installed so far, as I’ve had a ton of stuff going on. But some cool little finds. And there’s a handful of parts marked like this. Pretty rad if you ask me.

The silver powder is a touch lighter but it doesn’t lay silver to silver so only i would notice i think.

Also have new side decals coming from DCB think they'll look great.

IceCoats Custom Coatings in Fort Mohave did all the powder and did an absolutely fantastic job. He truly takes pride in his work.

Decided to do the Smart Craft key and ignition on this boat afterall, wanted to at the beginning but was just going to be a chore however as i have all apart now it’s perfect timing, it’s not the regular universal key and looks much better.

No better time than now to cut the hole for the Volt gauge since i put the Fuel Pressure Gauge in its spot.

I really like that color.
Is that the same powder you used for the swim steps?
Btw, might want to polish up those exhaust tips before you post more pictures 😁
Yea same. Yea they need a little wipe down but boat goes to detail here soon. Just focusing on getting her back together meanwhile.

What color is that silver? I really dig the flake and how light it is. Would definitely consider doing our trailer and all the hardware that color as well. Boat looks really well done

putting the stainless mesh back into the aluminum pieces just wasn’t working all that great as they were old and hard to get to the silicone to stick without mushing out. So i reached out to Erik at DCB and asked what they were now using and he told me, not only is new and the modern way they do it, it looks way better and should allow the air to flow way better.

He also got me some extra decals, on a new car or truck it’d be the first thing I’d remove, however on the boat i dig it.

Damned wallet is way too thin way to soon this winter, but being i had a bank out on my on board charger, i searched quite a bit before deciding to go with the ProMariner Protournament Elite as a replacement. So far i really like it, it’s a bit higher powered, is silent vs the Dual Pro, and the foot print is quite a bit smaller. Plus it has a green pinstripe as well leds 🤣🤣

I just realized it was you next to me on Saturday. I thought boat looked familiar. Lol

Sorry about the music, took a few mean mug‘s to my son before he realized I was serious about turning it down.

Pirates or Mini Sandbar?

Was actually a great day real calm and don’t recall anyone with music cranked! Your boy spill a red drink?
