Might be a dumb question but it's worth a shot... Has anyone removed their closed cooling system off a 496 and convert to raw water cooling? If so, are there any benefits/disadvantages?

Sorry for the late response. I am using the Mayfair full hydraulic system. Seems to work great so far and yes, just a rubber hose with internal braid not AN hose. Boat is stored in Havasu otherwise I would attach a picture.

Received, I'll probably double clamp for the extra security. Do you happen to know what the pressure on low side is? Or an estimate? I have heard anywhere between 5-20 PSI. Don't know how correct that really is.
